This is an excellent tool for deshedding my dog. I have a yellow Labrador and he is in constant shed mode. I used this for the first time today and it desheds as advertised much better than brushing. I would highly recommend this.

This deshedding dog brush works pretty well! 👠It definitely takes the fur off my Morkie puppies' coats that was quite likely going to fall out soon anyway. The semi-dull / moderately sharp metal teeth blade does not aggressively tug at the coat, yet still nicely gathers up all the loose fur. I was pretty impressed the first time I used it after I saw how much fur came off while only lightly brushing my dogs' hair. So, I can say that this would probably work well for small dogs, as it works well on mine. However, I cannot speak to whether this would be an appropriate sized deshedding brush for large dogs. To my knowledge, the product also does not come with an instruction manual, which would certainly help the product's consumers to know the most effective ways in which to use the brush (as well as how to properly clean it) without unwittingly accelerating the dulling of the blade. While I do appreciate the effectiveness of this deshedding brush, I also think $22 is too much to charge for it, especially when it doesn't even come with instructions for how to properly use or clean it. In addition to an instruction manual, if the product was also able to function in another uniquely useful way, and/or came with additional replacement blades, and/or came with another useful tool for pet owners, then perhaps they could justify the $22 price. However, as it stands now, I personally wouldn't pay more than $10 - $15 MAX for it. (But, that's just me... 🙃 😉)

While this does remove loose hair, I am not a fan. I have used other such combs that I prefer. The deshedding comb is very narrow. It is comfortable to use but the comb teeth are not particularly comfortable for my dog. She does not like being brushed with it.

Anyone that has a horse knows that February is the start of shedding season! This little tool is prefect for getting all those loose hairs cleaned up and your horse de-wintered (fur and dirt). With two wooly mammoth horses, picking this up was a blessing. This deshedding "brush" is more of a deshredding comb with a plastic grip handle. The comb is the right size to handle comfortably when brushing out my horses. I have a larger wooden handled comb similar to this, but find that this one is much easier on my hands, is easier to clean than the wood (just wipe it off), and fits into my tack tote better than the longer comb.In testing it out, I dropped it a few times for good measure and kicked it as well. I wanted to see how fragile the handle and blade were. It passed the "oops" test. No cracks, chips, dents, or disfiguring was noted. My only wish for this is that it came in bright colors and had a wrist strap (to avoid dropping in a dark barn or loosing in a tack box. Other than this, a huge 5 stars from myself and the horses.

2/21/2025: Deshedding Dog Brush – Handheld Dog Grooming BrushThis is a decent deshedding brush. The handle is easy to hold, the teeth are sharp enough without being too sharp. I dogsit a lot so will have plenty of opportunities to use this on different dogs. I've only tested it on a short-haired collie so far (who loves being brushed, but hates when I pluck out tufts of fur) and it worked well enough. My non-shedding dog doesn't really need a deshedding brush, but he seemed to like how it felt anyway. Or, he just wanted the treat that he knows he gets after being brushed. It's hard to say, but he definitely didn't object to it.The little screw on the front allows you to remove the blade if you need to replace it. I have no idea where I would get a replacement blade though. Hopefully I won't need one for a long time.

As a pug owner, I’m constantly dealing with pug glitter (aka endless shedding). This deshedding brush is a lifesaver—it’s easy to use and removes a surprising amount of hair with just a few strokes. When I can get my squirmy pug to sit still, it does a great job of brushing out his undercoat, leaving his fur looking smoother and less likely to shed all over me. The handle is comfortable to hold, and I can see it working well for both short and long-haired pets.

This dog (pet) grooming brush arrived well packaged.... but, no directions. I mean, it seems like it should be pretty straight forward, but the teeth are a little sharp and I don't want to hurt her skin. It would've been nice to have some sort of directions on how to use, what angle, etc. Also, as you can see in one of the pictures, there is a little screw holding a little wheel. Not sure what that's for yet. I'm going to unscrew that screw and see what happens though! But so far, with just trying to test it out, it seems this could be a good loose hair remover. My dogs coat, with thick undercoat, may be a little too deep for this little guy.

I have small hands and this is a little hard to hold onto while brushing my dogs. The teeth on this brush are very short and I have long-haired fluffy dogs and a short-haired dog. I get some hair off but the teeth are too short to really get through the fur well and two of the dogs, who usually love being brushed, didn't care for this brush - I'm not sure why, but I think it pulls on the coat. That's what it feels like as I'm brushing. The price of this product is way too high as this is a basic hard plastic, hollow brush that doesn't feel substantial. It may work for larger hands on short-haired cats but on my dogs, it just doesn't work. With such short teeth, the amount of hair it takes off with each stroke is very little, plus it needs to be removed before you make another pass.I do not feel you are getting what you pay for here; it is overpriced for what it is and it doesn't work very well. I'll donate it to a shelter but I won't be using it.
