I am a heavy journaler who uses very juicy fountain pens so as you can imagine I am extremely finicky about notebooks. The paper quality in these is absolutely lovely with very little ghosting and no bleed-through or feathering, the line spacing is my preferred 7 mm, and the binding style allows them to lie perfectly flat while remaining durable. If I had any tiny critique it's that I would love if the pages were numbered (not the end of the world to number them myself) and I would personally prefer not to have the heavier line in the center of the page because I use these for long form journaling and don't need it to divide up my pages (but it's not that big of a deal to just ignore it). The covers are a fairly stiff plain cardstock which can be decorated but I prefer to use these in my A6 size fabric covers from Hobonichi, in which they fit perfectly. The paper quality and elegantly simple form factor make them a very good buy for the price.

I love this notebook. The paper is a beautiful shade of off-white. It’s not a full on cream like you get with a Moleskine, it’s half way between cream and white. Off-white. It’s a great color. The paper is also fountain pen friendly. It can handle pretty much any kind of ink or pigment without bleed through. There’s always some show-through (not bleeding) on the other side of the page no matter what paper you use (unless it’s some really thick sketch paper) but with the MD paper it is as minimal as you’ll ever get. It’s smooth as glass and a joy to write with a fountain pen on.I’m the kind of person who likes to keep a notebook with me pretty much everywhere I go to journal or jot down ideas and the A6 size is definitely portable (it’s the size of a paperback book, an inch or two bigger than a pocket size Moleskine on either side) but I’m not comfortable using it as my “every day carry†notebook. The card stock cover doesn’t offer a lot of protection if you’re traveling with it so be sure to get a cover for it if you plan to take this with you out of the house often (they offer nice card stock and leather covers with built in retractable pen holder). That’s not to say the cover isn’t well made. It is. It’s beautiful and really lets you focus on the notebook’s purpose: writing. And it’s a beautiful object.Smooth paper, great presentation, opens up flat, and fountain pen friendly.

I've grown to truly love the Midori brand, and this MD Notebook is no exception. One of its standout features is how flat it lies open, which makes it incredibly easy to write in from any angle. As someone who often angles their notebooks in odd directions while writing, this design is a game-changer.While it's not advertised as customizable, there's ample opportunity to personalize the notebook. The front and back covers, along with the spine, are simple and understated, making them perfect for adding your own touches. Whether you like to decorate with stickers, drawings, or even paint, this notebook can become uniquely yours.Overall, the Midori 1380006 MD Notebook is a superb choice for anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-use notebook that also allows for creative expression. It's durable, practical, and aesthetically pleasing—ideal for both casual and serious writers.

Probably my favorite paper. Inks look great, the pages aren’t too white, and the texture allows for a good amount of feedback so it doesn’t feel like you’re writing on glass. The actual design is great too.

Love the size of the notebook fits perfectly in my purse! The pages could be thicker as the pen is seen through the opposite page.

Similar in binding construction as a Hobonichi, but with uncoated covers allowing for the book to lay flat in use without heavy wear or distortion of the full spread. The paper quality is also excellent and can withstand watercolors and inks without bleeding through. Heavy use of water will still wrinkle a page, but can be re-flattened by pressing the book closed with a weight once dry.The included ribbon bookmark and indicator stickers were much more useful than initially expected. I also ended up using the protective cover paper that shipped with the book as a smudge protector. The cost has also been kept down without a sacrifice of quality materials by clever design. This is now my favorite sketchbook.

This little notebook is great. I use fountain pens. It does ghost a little bit, but the paper is a nice quality. I don’t like the color, however- it’s a dark enough cream to shift all my ink colors, which kinda sucks. That’s not enough to deter me from buying more in the future though! The paper has a slight texture so if you like the tactile feeling of textured paper this is a good choice. Paper is a nice thin QUALITY paper for those of us who like thinner paper. I wish it came with a line guide, but it didn’t. my inks don’t bleed on it, so that’s good. It’s small enough that I can tuck it into my jacket pocket or my jeans pockets, which is great. All in all, a great notebook and I’ll definitely get another once this one is out of paper

Prodotto ben fatto ma in confezione c'era solo un Midori mentre dalla descrizione avrebbero dovuto essere due... Quindi ho pagato il doppio....

What's to be said? As advertised. Arrived in perfect condition. Just one more quality notebook I'm afraid to use. Simply beautiful in its pure form, I loathe to mar its pages with my chicken scratch... sigh.

Okay, I'll admit that I thought I was getting the A5 version, but I forgot we are in Europe and here the A5 version costs around 20 euros, not 10 like in the US (which made me complacent when ordering I guess). The description of the item by Amazon is atrocious and I seriously doubt they'll fix the product page after my report (they've never done so before in my experience). You can see the product dimensions though, so it really is my fault in the end.I am happy to say that I've found the perfect use for this little A6 notebook (my first ever A6 notebook), and the quality is very good. The covers are sturdy enough and the paper is very nice to write on. There is ghosting (from both ballpoint and fountain pens), but no bleed-through. What I really like is that thanks to the unique binding, the notebook lies completely flat when open (sometimes you have to run your hand down the middle of the notebook applying a bit of pressure to make it that way). The minimalistic looks is very pleasant to the eye, but it's also here where the few problems start. The cover is made from thick paper, and the notebook comes with a "protective" cover that I would liken to baking paper. Yeah that can't protect the notebook for very long and I expect it to disintegrate after a couple of trips in my backpack. Meaning the cover will surely get dirty unless I buy a protective cover. I guess also producing a black version wouldn't be minimalistic enough. Another con for me is the bookmark, which is rather flimsy for my liking. I hope the notebook can take a little beating, but despite the paper cover and the style of binding, the notebook feels solid in my hands, so let's see.Just because this is not mentioned on the product page, let me tell you that there are 176 pages, each page with 26 rows of grids, 18 grids per row. Each grid is 5x5 mm.All in all, this is a great little notebook. The build and paper quality justify the higher price. Give this beauty a try!

the youtuber said it's way better than moleskine for fountain pens, and cheaper, and i have to say it is great for that.the design is also simple and beautiful. and you could customize the simple cover if you wanted
