Direct fit better than some other cheaper ones.that only lasted a yr these have nice heavy duty boot over joint insted of cheap plastic type rubber

Low quality, do not buy they broke within one day of putting on my vehicle. A 2005 Chevy avalanche took to get truck aligned, and they told me the ball joints are no good.

Purchased upper and lower ball joints for 2001 GMC Yukon XL 1500 AWD SUV. Parts appear to be of significant high quality.My difficulty is the upper ball joints had no instructions included regarding the orientation of the ball joints to control arm, namely that a dot on top of ball joint needs to face outward perpendicular to front and rear of vehicle. I ended up randomly placing the upper ball joints which resulted in sub-optimal ride and poor steering performance.I only learned later after researching and stumbling on technical service bulletin for a competitor ball joint regarding directional ball joints and proper placement.So I ended up having to strip down suspension to the ball joints and press out upper ball joints on both sides then re-press in correct position which took eight additional and unnecessary hours due to the complete lack of instructions and apparent disregard for safety.My suggestion is that if you are going to sell your products to the general public you should definitely include such vital information. Otherwise, a severely compromised ride will result upon installation to a like vehicle that could lead to serious injury or even death.

Only used upper ball joint so far when I went to screw in zerk threads would not tighten up at all. Going to try and retread the next size up
