These plug ins are great. I discovered them after The Christmas holiday! A family member commented on all my trees and lights and I mentioned it’s not fun plug ins and unplug everyday. This is when I discovered these plugs.I purchased two sets, I immediately ordered them.Upon opening the package, they arrive in a plugged in stack, they are numbered in order, this is important. The plugs read 1-5 and it corresponds to the remote. If you follow this easy step, you’ll save time. Use them in order is so easy. The remotes have batteries, pull out the plastic tab and it’s ready! Each box has two remotes!Unplug #1 from the stack, add it to the outlet, plug in light. Tap “on†and you should be amazed by now. After years of plugging in my many trees and decorations, unplugging over and over, switching off outlets day and night, I am thrilled at the technology, the easiness to use them and no more reaching under and beneath trees to find the cords and switches. I took off the trees decorations and for the fun of it, I am leaving the trees lit for now.I used one box so far and I’m not done. Unsure if the remotes will all work off the same remote, if not an easy fix will be label the remotes.I only imagine They also great for outdoor Christmas lights plugged in the garage. Indoor use. I will not be able to add the outcome in this review. It’s been a game changer for me! I look forward to the second box being used for lighting in the upstairs rooms. Beyond holiday lights, guest room lamps, and other fun easy ways I have yet to discover! They are a great value for the price! This has been the best purchase and I hope in time that they are also reliable for extended use.Seems easy to lose the remote, so I made a plan.I keep the remotes near the front door near my keys. Walk room to room then return the remote, in the daytime, it’s just as easy to use the remote and return it for the evening. I’m adding this because it is easy for some of us to set things down and forget them. But, there’s two remotes per box! Also, if you live on two floors, havingAn extra remote solves another issue. All around great product so far, longevity, to be determined.

Wasn't sure before buying, but they fit nicely in the lower outlets and are easy to program and use to turn on and off. The range is great, I have two plugged in in the upstairs hallway and one downstairs and i can turn them all on/off from one location. Getting ready to buy another set of 3 for additional Christmas lights. Definitely recommend.

I bought these for accessibility reasons, and they've immediately made a difference. I have one for a table lamp in the bedroom, and another for string lights going down our driveway. I can turn the driveway lights off from the bedroom, which is a little over 100ft away. Kind of impressed with this little device! It's easy to use, just plug the box into the receptacle, and press the power button on the controller to test it. Works immediately, no delay. Worth the money imo, because it makes life easier on my husband.

OK, I'm using these under slightly different circumstances than most of the people here. We live 100% off grid, (not grid tied in any way), we have 3 separate 12 volt solar systems. Inside of the house we have 3 heavy duty power strips with 7 places to plug into each one. Each strip goes to one of the solar systems.I wanted something where I could turn off individual outlets from my bed without having to get up. Mainly referring to my internet (Starlink), it pulls 50-100 watts continually, which is an unnecessary drain on our system overnight when we are asleep and not using the internet.I have been manually turning off the internet when I'm done at night, but sometimes I'm in bed and fall asleep while online, so having something I could use to turn off the internet power while still in bed is a good thing.Using 3 separate systems, we have 2 of them that are using a pure sine wave inverter, and one of them uses a modified sine wave inverter. An inverter changes the DC (battery) power to AC power so we can plug in regular household things to them. Pure sine wave creates power that is nearly identical to regular power from the grid, certain appliances and anything with a timer requires pure sine wave to function properly. Modified sine wave used a squared sine wave on the power, it's not as good as the pure sine wave, it will work for many things but some appliances and powered items just don't like it, it will either not work at all, or it will work but be noisy or generate excess heat.I plugged in the remote outlets to various spots on my power strips. They worked great, no problems. A few hours later, I decided to check the remote outlets to see how they felt, if they were getting warm, or hot. The ones on the pure sine wave strips were just slightly warm. The one I had on the modified sine wave was HOT! It was powering the internet which is my biggest continual load. I quickly moved my fingers then decided to check again, this time I left my fingers there a little longer, it was more than uncomfortable, it slightly burned my fingers, they stung for a few minutes. I unplugged it immediately and grabbed my laser point-and-shoot thermometer; it showed it was 160 degrees F, this was around 20-30 seconds after being unplugged; it may have been even hotter. I plugged it into one of the pure sine wave power strips and stayed there to monitor it. It continued cooling down to a reasonably warm temp. For what it's worth, I notice that certain things, when plugged up to the modified sine wave strip will get hot, sometimes dangerously so, this was the case here (I'm thankful I thought to check it before going to bed), I will never plug one of these up to my modified sine wave strip ever again. This is just the nature of the beast, it's not the fault of this manufacturer, especially for the price. It did create a slight, almost imperceptible, deformation in the plastic on the side of the wireless remote where the ground is. But the remote plug is still working, there doesn't seem to be any damage.I will keep these and use them, I like them... hubby on the other hand is less than thrilled with them. He likes the idea but can't seem to deal with remembering how to function them. I keep one remote in my bed for me to use after going to bed. The other remote is for hubby to use downstairs in his man-cave-dungeon. The idea is for him to be able to turn on and off the power to that room, and to turn on and off the internet, especially if I'm not home to do it for him. Normally he hollers up through the floor and asks me to turn things on or off. This way he can do it himself. But as I said, he isn't used to using it so he has been unplugging the remote outlets and using it the way we always have. It's going to be a work in progress, I will use it but will probably have to make sure the remote plugs are actually plugged in. :)Now to my wish list:For the remote control, I understand why they have an on and off button for each plug, I thought it would be nice to have 1 button for on and off, but if you can't see what you are controlling (say a light in another room), then you wouldn't know if it is on or off. So my thought would be instead of 2 separate buttons, how about having a switch or rocker switch for each one? That way you could see and feel if the item is powered on or not. Also put a bump or something that sticks up at the top of the remote control, the first night, I picked up the remote control in the dark and started pushing the buttons, then I realized that I was holding it upside down, I might have turned off the mancave for my hubby without realizing it. I did use some tape to create a bump at the top left side so I know I'm holding it in the correct orientation. I might use a more permanent solution in the near future, either a scratch or putting a blob of hot glue or something that will stick but dry to create a physical bump for my fingers to feel.

This is my third time ordering? Excellent for lamps and grow lights - one location to turn on / off.

I did not realize how big of a pain in the ass it was to walk around my house crawling under, around, and behind furniture to plug in my decorative lighting every morning and unplug it every night until I got these. I temporarily lost the remote the other night and had to go back to crawling under, around, and behind furniture and Christmas trees to shut down the house for the night. It SUCKED!!! I'm about to order several more sets because I am a BIG decorative/accent lighting fanatic and these just help soooo much.

I originally bought a set of three for the Christmas decorations last year. Loved them so much that I used them year-round for house lights after the holidays. So this year I needed another set of three and it has created a big mix-up. the claim that ''Unique and advanced technology eliminates interference with itself or other existing RF remote control systems'' is not true. When I press a button to turn on a particular light, sometimes it turns on two. The confusion has become worst during the past couple of weeks' use as a button can now turn on various lights it was not programmed for.. I am dealing with it but it is not convenient. I would certainly not buy another set to create even more confusion. Re-setting has not helped.

Much smaller than another generation of these I bought some time ago which means they don't cover the second plug on the outlet. They have good range but probably not 100 feet.
