I used these for oil lines on a 1943 ford flat head. They are a great fit and worked well with the copper lines I fabricated.

Only problem was you need to use 11mm brake wrench.

These flare nuts are weak, round easy, and leak. The head is smaller than 3/8" and the corners are fairly rounded out of the box. Not to mention that the mating surface is small and rough. Every one of these I have used in a union has leaked! I haven't had any problems with the stainless steel nuts I bought to replace all these pieces of junk.

I thought "hey it's only 8$ how bad can it be?" Don't cheap out on fittings, the hex is smaller than 3/8, even with a line wrench they round over if you look at them wrong. In a world where m10 nuts have a 3/8 hex I thought maybe the 3/8-24 fitting would have a 3/8 hex, not the case, poor quality.

I purchased and used these on auto brake lines. I had many leaking connections because since they are not tapered at the ends the threads bottom out before the brake line seats all the way.
