The item description refers to this as a heel, but it is definitely a slide pad.This slide pad is perfect for those of us who don't actually slide that much at the foul line. If I slide much, I'm most likely going to fall. This provides the perfect amount of friction/resistance to offer a very slight, controllable slide.It comes oversized, and you trim to fit your particular shoe. Easiest way I know to achieve this is to remove the slide from your shoe, trace the shape onto the new slide pad, and trim to fit. This slide pad sticks very solidly onto the shoe with no fear of the velcro giving out. A perfect replacement.

You have to cut it down to fit your shoe, but is an easy process using the slide pad that comes with your shoes. Works great for those really slick lanes!

I read this product incorrectly, thinking I was ordering a heel just due to the shape of it. I still decided to use it as a heel and wow does it slide. No matter what you use it for, you will need to cut it down and my guess is that you won't really notice too much depending on where you cut it, but you can potentially get more of the 11 than the 12 and vice versa if you cut carefully.

As advertised, its meant for approaches which are very slick, or slippery. It might not be used very often at your local bowling centre, but it is a great option to have if you travel to other centres often, as you might encounter a very slick approach and this could be the only answer for you being able to bowl on those approaches.
