**Effortless Stucco Prep with the MonoPro Diamond Grinding Wheel**I recently found myself in need of a reliable grinding wheel while preparing our stucco for a whole-house paint job. The previous owners of our home had attempted to fix minor cracks in the stucco using a silicone product. Unfortunately, instead of concealing the cracks, they spread the silicone out, creating unsightly, smooth three-inch-wide strips that stuck out like a sore thumb against the textured stucco. My task was to chisel and cut out these patches, remove the paint and excess silicone, and expose the cement stucco underneath for a proper repair. Enter the MonoPro Diamond Grinding Wheel. From the moment I attached the MonoPro Diamond Grinding Wheel to my angle grinder, I could tell this was a high-quality tool. The wheel made quick work of the silicone and paint, allowing me to grind down to the cement stucco efficiently. The double row of diamond segments provided a consistent and powerful grinding action that was much faster than I had anticipated. What would have been a painstakingly slow process with a standard masonry wheel became almost effortless. One of the key aspects I appreciated was the importance of surface lubrication. While some might overlook this step, I found that keeping the surface slightly lubricated prevented heat build-up and material accumulation on the wheel. This was crucial for my project because my goal was not to polish the surface to a smooth finish but to create a rough texture suitable for applying a new stucco patch. The MonoPro wheel handled this beautifully, providing a clean, roughened surface ready for the next steps of my repair.Durability was another significant advantage of this grinding wheel. Throughout the entire project, the MonoPro Diamond Grinding Wheel maintained its effectiveness. Unlike standard masonry wheels, which I would have replaced four or five times over the same period, this diamond wheel required no replacement. Its longevity saved me both time and money, making it a highly cost-effective tool for such demanding work. The wheel's 18 segments ensured even wear, provided I used it correctly and avoided excessive heat build-up. It’s also worth mentioning that the wheel never caused my grinder to come close to its maximum RPM rating, which speaks to its efficient design and compatibility with typical angle grinders. This made for a safe and manageable grinding experience without the worry of pushing the tool beyond its limits. The MonoPro Diamond Grinding Wheel proved to be an invaluable tool in my stucco preparation project. It tackled the stubborn silicone and paint with ease, provided a perfect surface for new stucco application, and lasted through the entire job without needing replacement. While it requires some care to avoid overheating and ensure even wear, these minor considerations are far outweighed by its performance and durability. If you’re dealing with similar tasks or require a reliable grinding wheel for concrete, cement, or masonry work, I highly recommend giving the MonoPro Diamond Grinding Wheel a try. It turned what could have been a tedious, frustrating job into a smooth, efficient process. Four stars for a product that delivers exceptional value and performance.

I've gone through several brands of 'diamond' concrete grinding wheels while building my house. All of them more or less, did a satisfactory job at removing hardened concrete. I think this MonoPro wheel is as good or better than any previous wheels I’ve tried. It came nicely packaged, presented well and most importantly, worked like a charm, rapidly removing concrete splatter and grinding concrete block truing up my sloppy, slightly out-of-square chimney access opening. It took no time at all (just a few minutes) to dress the edges of the opening and widening two of the corners of the opening so that the steel, clean-out door fit properly. I recommend this product as first rate.Props to MonoPro for making a fine tool that cuts quickly, and with a fine edge for more precise work! I'm looking forward to smoothing out more spots inside the house now, around the water and electric penetrations through the slab.

I'm using this in my ceramics classroom. This grinding wheel works great at getting off large glaze chunks from the kiln shelves.

This grinding wheel worked out quite well for removing some small residual high spots after repairing a depression in a larger poured floor. It does sling quite a bit of dust and particulates (so prepare for that), but it does work. A good value and recommended.

This review is for Diamond Grinding Wheel 4 1/2 inch for Angle Grinder, Concrete Grinding Wheel 18 Segments, Cup Grinding Wheel, Double Row Diamond Cup Wheel for Grinding Concrete, Cement, Masonry - Medium BondThis is a segmented, diamond faced grinding wheel to be used on 4.5" angle grinders with a 7/8" center hole. The wheel is well balanced , even when run at 13,000 rpm.I used this on a pneumatic 4.5" angle grinder. It cut fully cured concrete easily and was quite easy to control. The air powered grinder had a soft start and highly variable speed, no one can take very light cuts or hog a lot of material just by varying speed and drive air pressure. A single speed grinder might be a little harder to control.I tested the wheel on two cracked sections of walkway that had separated vertically, causing a tripping hazard. I ground the joints so that there was a smooth slope between the two sections. This was very easy and fast to do. Overall I ground a little over four feet of cracked sections. When I was done, the wheel looks hardly used and was cutting just as well for the last inch as when I started the jobs.If you have some rough edges on your walkways or need to clean up a badly finished area. this is a great tool and well worth the money.

Obtained this to grind down some concrete that settled and created a tripping hazard. It made quick work of that task. Zero problems removing material and getting a relatively smooth finish. It took just a couple of minutes to do the work. I did notice that more of the grinding surface was used up than I would have thought, so if I had more of this kind of work to do a new disk would likely be needed in relatively short order. I'd guess about 2-3 of these would be needed to a solid hours work, but again that is just a guess.Overall I'm happy with the disk and would buy agian.
