I’m actually having trouble expressing to others how satisfied and pleased I am with this $70 investment. Please take my money!I grow blueberries as a hobby and have 35-different blueberry varieties growing in my backyard with specific and different PH requirements. If PH in my soil or the water is off slightly the blueberry plant leaves will yellow and the plant will die. It’s the most important aspect of growing healthy berries.Over the past 6-months I have tried 6 different $25 PH meters from Amazon. I felt bad returning them all back to Amazon for a refund but the truth is they were unreliable and inaccurate. I even bought 2-identical meters side by side and got different readings. At this price point they all suck and I cannot understand how they maintain a 4.5 or better review rating score. I learned the hard way, $25 PH meters are all junk, you have to pay more if you want an accurate reading. When I found this bad boy I was filtering by highest cost and was ready to pay big bucks for my next meter. At $70 this meter comes with an extra probe and a nice protective storage case. It’s priced fairly and is worth the money. Extremely easy to use, calibrates quickly and is accurate. The only issue I see is the glass probe is very fragile and you have to be careful not to crack the glass. That’s what others were saying in their reviews. I’m glad I ordered an extra probe for $10.Bottom line, one of the best Amazon purchases ever and I’m a very happy customer. Do not hesitate to purchase one. The designer of this new PH meter is a genius and I hope he get rich.

I purchased the blue ph meter which comes with only one probe. If you are using test strips, chemical tests, or those 2 prong moisture/light/ph readers to test your soil, please, throw them out and buy this. I wish that I had discovered this years ago. It is way, way more accurate than those other tests, and so much less time consuming to use. I often would procrastinate about testing ph because it was so laborious to use the chemical tests. This meter gives you answers almost immediately, and all you need to do is wipe it down and it is ready to use again. I can test 20 plants in the time that it used to take me to test 1, AND, get much more reliable results. I now know that the chemical solutions that I have been using were just plain wrong. This meter immediately helped me to resolve a problem by revealing that the large bag of potting soil that I was using had an extremely low ph of 4.7 (normal is about 6.0-7.0). The crappy chemical test told me it was 7.5! I then confirmed this by testing all of my container plants. All of the recent transplants that used this poor soil had similar low readings, while containers that did not use that soil had expected readings. I was immediately able to repot those plants using a soil with a higher ph, which I confirmed using this meter, and all of my plants are doing much, much better now. This meter was worth every penny I spent. I highly recommend it.

Better than cheaper versions, the YINMIK pH probe is an easy way to test soil pH. It comes with everything you need (except purified water) to calibrate your sensor for the first time. It also has a metal spearhead to poke into the ground while protecting the (very fragile) glass tip as well as a brush to clean the tip between each test. The associated app (iPhone or Android) is minimalist but functional. It connects the probe to your phone via BlueTooth while in the ground and records the pH and soil temperature measurement along with date and time of the sampling. The app also allows you to add notes about where the sample was taken. Future versions might improve this by reading and adding the geo tag data from the phone. It saves the information in a file that can be downloaded as an excel worksheet. An annoying nit is that the “Save Recording†button does not actually save the data until you press the “Disk†icon. The instructions are easy enough to understand, but clearly not written by a native English speaker. The box and foam insert is sturdy enough to serve as a convenient storage container for the probe, test solution packs, instructions, and accessories.Worth mentioning is that you can replace the probe if you damage the glass tip…

This is an easy to read, easy to calibrate and accurate pH tester. It is very sturdy. It comes with easy to understand instructions and the shipping box keeps the pH tester secure. My only complaint might be that it include a smaller storage box for safekeeping. The shipping box, though nice, is a bit bulky and not practical. I've had this pH reader for a couple months now and it has worked flawlessly for my gardens. Very happy with this product.

We bought the green one, and it works great. The box the meter comes in is actually a cardboard case with molded foam inserts for the meter and parts. The extra probe is very much appreciated. A screw-on stainless steel protection sleeve is included to protect the glass tip when testing the soil pH. A plastic screw-on cap comes with each probe to protect the probe's glass tip when storing. Batteries are included. A cleaning brush is included to brush the dirt off the probe tip between soil pH readings. An extra set of calibration chemical packets is included. A plasticized chart of popular plants with their pH requirements comes with the set.CalibratIon seemed difficult a first, until I read and understood the instructions; then it was simple and straightforward..Now I understand why my blueberries weren't growing; the soil was too alkaline. I'm happy to have a reliable instrument so that I know in which direction the soil pH needs to be adjusted - up or down, and to be able to measure the ph of amendments and fertilizer BEFORE adding them.

can't calibrate this PH tester because it reads 4.0 as 6.5. if you try to calibrate the 4.0 solution it thinks its 7. reads 10.01 solution as 7.3.calibrates 7.0 fine but cant calibrate 4.0 or 10.0
