I bought this kit to make a stocking for a future daughter in law. The kit comes with ample thread, a needle and felt for a backing. The directions are straightforward and the canvas is pretty easy to read (there are a couple of colors which are hard to distinguish). I made this in about a week and it’s darling. You won’t find a better price.

Great design w brilliant colors. Playful content. Works for either gender. Fun to work on. Looks like materials are of good quality and will have enough to complete project—a very important aspect.

This sock looks much better on the color illustration than it does in actuality. I have made about 15 different needlepoint socks and this was in the bottom two. For instance, the pale blue pattern around the white “snowflake†areas is totally unseen by the time the background pale green yarn is added. This blue appears to be contrasting enough with the green to show up when looking at the I tire but no such thing in reality. It’s just very blah. And the script suggested for the design of them name was SO ugly I just used my own invention. I’m really sorry I trusted the colors in the icture because I spent the time and completed the sock but I’m embarrassed by it.
