Your cart is empty. How can I clean my mobile?
Mobiles made of cardboard should only be dusted with a soft brush. Mobiles made of wood, aluminium or plastic can be wiped with a moist cloth with a few drops of mild dishwashing detergent.
How long can my Mobile last?
One person called us and said that they had inherited a Science Fiction Mobile from her grandmother who had had it for 30 years! In our home we have had the same mobile hanging for more than 20 years.
Can my mobile hang outdoors?
No. Since they are very sensitive to the simplest whiff of air hanging them outside is not recommendable.
Will my mobile fade?
In many of our mobiles we use plastic foil. This material is lightproof and easy to clean. Some other mobiles are made of cardboard. Even though we use the highest quality cardboard it will fade over the years. Red colors fade more than blue. You can delay fading by hanging the mobile out of direct sunlight.
When hanging your mobile, try it in different places and bear in mind the following suggestions:
1. The mobile is designed to be a pleasure to the eye and a stimulus to the imagination. Hang out of reach of children. It is not a toy.
2. Hang it away from direct sunlight to avoid the colors fading and the shapes distorting.
3. Hang it where there is some movement of air but no strong draft. A slow, quiet movement is the essence of the mobile. Do not hang it outdoors.
4. Where practical, hang the mobile where it has a subdued, uniform background. A corner position against light-colored walls is often the best location.
5. If possible, hang it in the light from a lamp. The shadow that the mobile casts onto a wall or ceiling will give the mobile yet another dimension. A candle is a concentrated light source which will produce distinct, well-defined shadows.
6. Hang the mobile where you can watch it while listening to music. You will see the mobile move to the rhythm of the music.

I over-analyzed and over-agonized over which mobile to buy for my son's nursery. When he was a few weeks old we noticed him frequently staring at a banner fluttering in his room and we started the search for a real mobile. We looked at everything we could and after way way way too much thought (are seagulls better because they really fly? what about clouds? could we use them for a second child? could I cut some shapes out of paper and hang them myself? is this just overpriced?should I get a musical one? a mechanical mobile? will he even like this for more than a minute?), I got the sailboats. Now, I can't stop telling everyone about these and about Flensted. This came very quickly, was packaged very neatly and very securely, and was quick to set-up. Not only does it look really truly great in the nursery--honestly they look so classic and cool--but my son is so clearly entranced with them. He's a little over three months and he's just started cooing and giggling, and these are a surefire way to keep him happy. It is designed so well--it looks deceptively simple, but moves gently and consistently. Its easy for him to see without taking up the whole room. We are just normal people with plenty of clunky plastic toys but in this case, we are so glad we went with the low-tech, well-designed piece. It makes me so happy everyday that I hear him baby-talking while watching these boats sail through the air.

Gorgeous mobile which has a handmade, elegant and intricate feel to it. The boats "float" beautifully in the air and I truly fell in love with it right after installing it.My only issue is that I purchased it specifically to hang above the baby crib (we have stokke baby crib so the stick it hangs on is static and cannot be adjusted) - and although it looks so beautiful and i am 100% certain my baby would love watching at the little boats sailing above him, I am concerned the baby would more than anything want to touch them and will spend its first few years being told "NO dont touch that" because these little sail boats are not designed to be handled by a toddler or a baby.So if you are buying this with the intention of a mobile above the crib have this in mind. I chose to purchase a more sturdier less amazing mobile that the baby can touch if he wants to. It is just from judging from my self I would hate to have this beautiful thing to stare at all day long and never be able to play with it. Although arguably maybe it is a good lesson to learn (that you cant have everything) still I prefer a mobile my baby can touch.

This is a top notch, high quality product. It comes packaged in tissue paper in a solid box, keeping all component parts separate and protected. The mobile is light weight and perfectly balanced. It almost dances in the breeze from the a/c register and my daughter has learned to blow on it to set it in motion. I would purcahse and one of their mobiles. You can't go wrong.

My wife and I just love this! It was so easy to set up right out of the box. It doesn't feel nearly as fragile as I thought it would and because it's so light it is in constant smooth motion with the air conditioning going. Beautiful and quality item.

This mobile is so cute! I ordered this for my son's room, it's perfect. Just the act of walking in the room will create enough air current to get it moving. The package arrived ahead of schedule. Each little boat was individually wrapped in paper, and easily removed (no tangles), and hung in less than 2 minutes. I am very happy with this purchase, and would buy this again in a heartbeat.

Lovely mobile. My 7 week old baby loves looking above at this from his crib. He can only see the bottom of the boats, but seems to really enjoy it and stays entertained. I enjoy watching it as I nurse him.The boats are made of wood, not cardboard like some other Flensted Mobiles.

Ein wunderschönes sehr filigranes Mobile. Das i Tüpfelchen für mein im maritimen Stil eingerichtetesZimmer. Es wurde schnell und ordentlich verpackt geliefert. Ich denke schon über ein weiteres nach.Dann aber auf jeden Fall wieder ein Flensted.
