The eggs are a chalk base, so prepare to get dirty. Kids loved looking for them and breaking them apart. The eggs were sturdy so they resisted my kids trying to break them apart. If you have one kid that likes dinosaurs deff worth it. They spent about an hour looking for them/ cracking them. Even the older kids (9/8) loved it.

It was hours of fun for days for two 3 and 4 years olds ... they wanted to find out more about each dinosaur after excavating them and they still play with them individually. Highly recommended, great ...

A parent or older person will need to open the eggs! I tried soaking them in water and it made no difference, the tools that come with it don’t make a dent in the eggs, I had to use the tip of a sharp knife to open these!The Dino’s inside are super cute though and my son loves them, but opening them up is brutal !!

I got these as student (Kindergarten) gifts. They really enjoyed digging out their dinosaurs. Some of the dinos weren't completely covered by the chalky material, but it didn't take away from the fun.Some eggs had hard pieces of of dried plaster in them (along with the dino), I'm guessing pieces of molds or something. Just monitor young children while they are digging.It was very messy. Every person and surface was coated in chalk. I had put tablecloths down to help with clean up but when kids are working with stuff everything gets messy. Once dried, the chalky material was easily vacuumed up and just took a few extra cleaning wipes to clean up the residue.
