Black Widow AMC-400L with HC-FA-Folding Hitch Adapter! This was purchased to haul a Yamaha XT250. I picked the bike up at a dealer with the new rack, the dealer commented that it looked heavier-duty than most of the hitch racks they had seen. My only use so far was a 30-min drive home from the dealership, and it worked fine! I used the anti-rattle u-bolt the only way I could get it to fit on my hitch, it still helped. I like the rack setup! Enjoy the pics!One complaint, the folding hitch adapter uses a large allen head bolt, Lowes & Home Depot didn’t have allen wrenches big enough to put it together. I ran all over town on a Saturday trying to find the tool, I had to wait until Monday to hit a local tool shop. Black Widow, please include this allen wrench in your kit!

I really wish I had purchased this when I got the motorcycle rack. I had been taking it in and out for the last year “what a painâ€. So I broke down and finally bought this and I can’t believe I waited so long. I know the price is kind of a put off being that that whole rack is just a bit more than this one piece but look at it as part of the original price and just get them both together, you won’t be sorry. It works exactly as advertised. I just used the anti-wobble three bolt thingy on this new receiver and attached the rest as described in the directions. I did however notice there is one tool required that isn’t in the description and it is a giant hex key which I didn’t have however I found a torx key in my tools that got the job done. Over all 5 star totally worth the money. I do believe these should come with the rack standard. Great job!

This hitch is definitely strong and well made but that’s about the end of the good. The major issue is definitely the pin that is used to lock it either up or down… the holes are not lined up right so as many people have said you need to drill it out. That’s pretty foolish considering it makes the hole misshapen and can lead to movement. Not to mention the hitch is made of pretty heavy steel so you’ll need a good drill with a good bit to drill it. Also the main pin that it folds on has to use a pretty large allen wrench to tighten it. My set has about 30 wrenches and I didn’t have one big enough so I used vice grips on that side. The hole for said pin is also two different sizes so you can’t use a locking pin to help combat theft. Also this adds a solid foot to the length of the rack because the pin hole is so close to the end of the hitch tube. Finally the price, There are alot of much cheaper options out there that actually have a better setup. I bought this one because I bought the spider e-bike rack and this popped up but after dealing with it I will be sending it back and buying a different one.

I purchased this to go with the BW eBike carrier. It’s pretty easy to install, but requires a little extra time if the carrier is already assembled. Be certain the the pivot bolt seats up against the hitch tube through the larger hole. I had to use locking pliers on the pivot bolt in order to tighten/seat it properly or it will spin when tightening the pivot bolt. A rubber mallet helps seat the pivot bolt. Once installed with the BW carrier it worked as advertised and was noise free when I took it around for a test drive. All in all a great product to pair with their eBike carrier.

I received this shipment in a box that arrived torn. Checking I was surprised to find all the parts there. On installation I rather quickly discovered that the pin holes did not line up. The instructions state that they may need scraped as the paint may cause an issue. I ran a drill bit through each to clean them out & still the pin that locks the arm up and down wasn’t even close to fitting. I went to the store and purchased a large rat tail file and filed the hole until the pin finally fit (a considerable amount of work and additional cost). At this point I folded up the rack and could quickly see that the main square tube that fits into the hitch was crooked, twisted slightly to the right. Very poor construction. For the cost I certainly expected better, there are cheaper options.

I didn't like the way my motorcycle rack stuck out from the back of my truck. This allows me to swing the rack up and out of the way and bring it back down when I need it.

Save your money. This was a very disappointing product. It is not built nearly tough enough to withstand anything more than a freshly paved road. My 450 wobbled something fierce and after some dirt road driving to the trailheads it was beyond what I would consider safe to use.
