I really like the feeders where they have to put their head into the bucket to get the feed. Havent tried thewaterers yet. I havent used feeders long yet and don't know how it will work with mixed feed, if they will stillthrow it out in hopes of just the right little seed underneath it all !! But better and more tidy then the gravity feederI was using for years where the feed comes out in plain sight in a circle around the pail.

These feeder spouts are well made and allow you to tailor fit your feeder however you need to. Easy to install with the included hole bit. I also like that if you have these in the run they included caps to block off and not allow other critters access to the food while the chickens are in the coop fir the night.

I'm using these for our small flock during the winter when I want to keep the chickens well-fed, but don't want to trudge through the snow to fill their feeder. These are well-built and cleverly made, yet simple. I love this system and will never go back to the hanging circular trough feeder. There's no waste and allows me to stay warm inside on frigid days (we have cameras in the coop, so I'm still able to check on them). Highly recommend - 5 stars.

I got these because I watched a ton of youtube videos and thought it would be better for me to make a feeder than buy the ones I have gotten in the past. The metal ones that look almost like an egg carton and you fill with pellets get gross cause chickens aren't exactly neat and they poop on it and step in poo and then step on the feeder. So, I'm using this with plastic buckets I picked up from the hardware store. Now I can keep the food slightly elevated and freer from poo.

These chicken feeders have been so helpful. We attached them to a 5 gallon bucket and added feed to the bottom. We have 3 chickens and they fight over food. Now they can eat separately and whenever they feel the need. The top keeps rain from getting in the food. And it’s a decent sized hole for them to put their heads in to get food.
