This set comes with everything you need to install these onto a plastic box or bucket, I wouldn’t suggest the hold bit for wood but it Definitly works for plastic. This comes with several explaining tips and tricks on the listing and thats always appreciated. Most of us with chickens are no stranger to making feeders like this and this set is similar to others on the market, I like the size of these in particular and this time around I’m making buckets for different size chickens so it’ll be interesting to see all in all how they work out.

So I'll say this that I got a few different variations of this product and this one has this odd lip design. I'm not sure how it will play a part or not in food waste issues since food can just sit there on the lip. I'll keep you posted if I find it to have any issues with regards to the others that don't have this lip design. Otherwise, so far I like this product and it does exactly what I need it to do. I wasn't rly a fan of the rusty part because that isn't exactly safe. Fortunately, I have others I can use that aren't rusted that I can use. If I was to use this one or if you get one with rust I'd highly suggest using some thick leather gloves especially if on a 5 gallon bucket design.

I threw these at my husband and step son and batted my eyes. "Well, I don't know if I have the drill bit for...wait, what's this?" My husband opened the pack and found that the drill bit required for these feeders to be fitted into a bucket WAS INCLUDED. How awesome is that?! It is such a nice touch and a testament to the company, knowing that not everyone can use the product without including the bit. The feeders themselves are great and have helped up avoid waste with the chicken food, which means these pay for themselves in 1-2 months.

Was very easy to install. Does seem like it would work better on a square bucket than a round one. Hole saw slide off the drill bit once because it doesn't lock in but all and all a good product if you are going to use plastic buckets. Works as indended.

I got 4 feeders installed on a 5 gallons bucket, following the direction provided for proper height where to drill the hole - hole saw is included by the way. Functionality wise work great if you have same height chickens and adjust the height properly so some messy chickens cannot peck in a way where the foods will jump outside, make it higher. The quality material of these feeders are same as many other one out there, it's plastic, but I think it will last a while, just don't expose it to direct sunlight UV too much. The size of the feeder is perfect for both small and large chickens, I use it on pigeons too and it's fine, but pigeons a bit messy eater. I got the 8 feeders package, value for the money come out to be $2.30 each which is pretty good. Assembly installing this straight forward, use the included hole saw, drill holes and then install the feeder, probably best to use 5 gallons buckets, other size might work but make sure you can reach your hand inside to secure the feeders.
