The chain itself is sturdy and strong. The swivel thing that prevents tangle, broke easily within two weeks. Unfortunately I missed the returned window. As much I like the chain it now keeps tangling and shrinking.

This is a really solid nice chain. It's smooth, I didn't notice any sharp edges or other manufacturing flaws that would give me concern over safety issues. It seems to work as intended; I noticed some of the other reviewers are saying that the swivel feature easily breaks, but from what I can tell it seems solidly constructed so I don't know why this would be failing. I guess time will tell, but from what I can see it is all well and solidly built. I like the swivel function for helping to avoid tangles. It's actually just a nice solid chain. It's not too heavy, but definitely solid enough for holding a large animal. I don't know if a horse could even break this chain. The carabiners are probably going to break before the chain itself does. Overall a great item and happy to recommend.

I haven't really tested it yet, but it seems well built and strong. There aren't any rough edges so it shouldn't hurt my pup, and otherwise it's straightforward. It's a chain

It is a good quality chain but the swivel link fell apart so I had to modify it. Overall it had been a good chain.
