Can I use the Stake for training purposes?
Yes, there are many experts who recommend using the stake for time out if your adolescent pet is becoming wild and unruly. You can also use the stake to train your pet in polite greeting and teaching them to listen to your commands.
How long can I tether my pets for?
Domestic pets like rabbits, cats, dogs, and ferrets are social animals and need to hop, jump, and run around. However, you can tether your dog to the stake for short periods of time. If you are outdoors gardening and are afraid your dog will jump your fence, tethering your dog to the stake is fine whilst you are finishing your chores.
Can my dog get tangled in the stake?
No, this stake has been designed in a way that allows the dog to walk 360 degrees around the stake with hardly any chance of tangling. The swivel ring will restrict tangling 99% of the time. Make sure to remove any other cables, obstacles or other items from the vicinity of your dog whilst they are tethered to this leash stake.
Is there a cable or leash included?
No, we do not include a leash or cable with this stake. We recommend you buy a tie-out that will be suitable for the type of dog you own. Some stronger dogs may require a steel chain, while smaller dogs will do fine with a nylon collar and leash. Please note, not all dogs will like being tethered and they may get upset at first. Use your judgement when using the stake for your dog, additionally you should not leave your dog unattended while they are attached to the stake.

Great to hold the tether for my dog. I have a12 pound dog and it worked fine, not sure if i works trust my daughters strong pit bull from pulling it out of the ground if she took off after a critter, i would have to try it

I have two indoor / outdoor cats, we are now full time travelers. I bought these hoping to teach kitties to wear harness & be on leash so they could be outdoors. Unfortunately something spooked them, they were able to pull out of "escape proof" harness. Had to buy a covered playpen.

Very difficult to screw into ground, when I finally got in, where it seemed nice and tight, came right out as soon as my dog saw a squirrel, gonna try using cement to keep in

This tie out is awesome. I used a crow bar to get it pretty deep into the ground, there's no way it's coming out. I got it because I dog sit an Australian Shepherd mix, a German Shepherd/husky mix, and a pitbull/mastif mix. It has withstood all three bolting to the end of their leash. Even the derpy pitbull/mastif who seems to like to risk his life, because why breath when you can not. If you keep it outside, eventually it'll start to rust a little. Still works though, I mean it's a chunk of metal.WARNING: it will lose a battle against a lawn mower . The lawn mower will lose too. So will you. Don't make them fight , it isn't worth the outcome.
