I have an Italian Greyhound puppy that has started raising a leg to go to the bathroom. I kept trying to encourage him to squat instead, but no luck. So I tried to modify a crate I had by taping pads on the inside of the walls, as well as putting one on the bottom tray to use as his bathroom. It was impossible to keep the pads stuck on the walls of the crate and he inevitably would "hit" a corner with his aim and the urine would get behind and under the pads and cause a mess.I tried to find a puppy bathroom that would work specifically for a male, and none had walls high enough, or solved the problem of corner leakage until I found this model. It addressed all my issues. I needed high walls, seamless corners and the ability to keep the pads attached vertically to the sides. Since my pup was already familiar with how to use an enclosure with puppy pads, it took him about half an hour to realize this was just a better version of what I had tried to create for him! And it is a lot quieter when he steps inside to use it than a rattling tray inside a crate.I am very pleased with my purchase. The rubber bottom keeps the bathroom in place on the floor where I want it, and the container is sturdy and very easy to clean. The open top makes changing out the pads a breeze (especially compared to what I had to do with changing pads inside of a crate!) The pee pads included with the bathroom are fine for the sides, but I would suggest you use a thicker, more absorbent, and larger pad of your own for the bottom. I use a 24" x 30" pad so I can have the edges go up the sides rather than laying flat on the bottom. No leaking that way!I was also quite impressed with the packaging. Very professionally done and well thought out. The little "walk off" mats that were included (for use on the floor in front of the opening) were an unexpected surprise. They are shown in the pictures, but weren't listed as being included in the description.I was initially reluctant to spend this much money for a dog bathroom, but I can honestly say that I'm not sorry I did. This was definitely a five star purchase for me.

This was a life saver for my hardwood floor because of my 2 chihuahuas. They’re trained to use a puppy pad but pee would inevitably spill out, especially because of the boy lifting his leg. With this, it is perfectly contained and incredibly easy to clean, smooth surface, no crevices for pee to get stuck in. The price is honestly a bit ridiculous, but I couldn’t find something quite as perfect as this, with the low entry, size and high walls. Love it!

This product is well made and sturdy. Unfortunately I have had it for a month and my dog won't use it. He started peeping every where else but in the potty. I think it is too small because most dogs go round in circles before they pee.200.00 is a lot to waste. If he used it my ratings would be better.

We have a cat who likes to indulge in a good spray every now and then. We bought several of these high-sided boxes so he could spray away without hitting the wall or floor. We avoided the enclosed boxes because they concentrate the smells and our cats didn't like them, even though they're scooped 1 or 2 times each day.Our cats are large and long, and the size of the box accommodates them comfortably. Recently, one of our cats had to have knee surgery, and the low entry option was a blessing to him.Super expensive, but we were at our wits' end as to what to do with the "sprayer", and in desperation splashed out the cash for these. Took one star away for the usurious price.

These are perfect for our male Italian greyhounds. They always peed off the side of pads and this fixed that. We lived on the 5th floor of an apartment building for years and this was a life saver. Dogs are trained to go in it whenever we aren’t around or it’s night time and they can’t hold it. Also great for when it’s raining. We’ve bought a 2nd one to keep with family when we’re traveling. Yes, they are a bit pricey for what they are, but there aren’t many alternatives that work. Highly recommend.

Bought this to help "house break" my 4.5 lb Toy Fox Terrier. It's built well, the pads that come with it are nice but once you run out, not necessary as any doggie pee pad will work if you arrange them correctly. My dog took to it fairly quickly- we had him using it within two days and now after several months he is using it independently as well as going outside. The sides are plenty high enough for small male dogs, wouldn't work if your dog is larger and pees up high. I really like this thing. The price is kind of high but there is nothing else quite like it on the market. I totally endorse it if you can afford it.

Might work for a puppy but my elderly dog won’t use it! He stands by the door to go outside still even if it’s raining…Will use the potty pad on floor by the potty but doesn’t use the potty and doesn’t seem to understand what it’s for when I put him or my other 10 year old female shitzu, she won’t use it either! I even put used potty pads in it…Maybe you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, and a very expensive lesson for me to learn!!

Two boys...one an abandoned rescue left in a house for 2-3 weeks. I tried the grass type potty trays with no success due to "hiking" legs, so I resorted to a "pee towel" draped over a bench for the last couple of years (messy!!). Nightmare as the "trained" dog picked up the bad habit and started marking inside, as well.I trained by putting a few high value treats close to the tub, then tossed them inside of it, while verbally praising interaction with the tub and feeding the space. Next, I hung the pee towel on the edge over the pads and left the dogs alone to sniff out the mark. Instant success. I will continue doing this for two weeks until the behavior is automatic then do away with the nasty pee towel.Product looks nice. Easy to put together. The tub fits very nice in the black bottom tray so it doesn't slide on floor or make any noises to scare the dogs when they step in it. Easy to clean and easy to change out the pads. Very useful product.

I love this box! My dog, Yorkie Terrier ( 6 months old) started using it almost immediately and it keeps my floors and furniture clean especially now, since he started lifting his leg. I am so happy I got it! I don't have to rush home or get up early in the morning anymore! It is quite expensive but really well done. It doesn't feel cheap. It is huge though and you need room for it.

Tasteful looking and totally functional for male dogs. Nothing on the market existed till this. ( female dog friendly too) My father's dog does not go outside to p/p due to my father's mobility limitations- this has transformed my father's indoor dog bathroom set up. No more missing the pad and peeing on the floor. Very wonderful solution for small breed dogs indoor bathroom use and those who are handicapped with companion male dogs who live indoors. Love it!!!

I purchased this for my male chihuahua who is too tiny to brave the bitterly cold winter weather and needed an alternative to take care of business. It looks decent, takes 4 potty pad to cover the inside. I am a former pet dog trainer and even using all of my knowledge am unable to convince my little guy to use this. He is used to using potty pads, and likes lifting his leg, however I can only assume that this item emits some sort of smell which deters my little dog from using it. And I have to say, buyer beware: if you need to return this it will be at your own expense. It’s a large item and really isn’t worth it to return.
