Great collar, my husband uses it on our dog for discipline. We adopted a dog, and he was too excited when out on walks. This chain helps get him in line and walking just fine. The chain is very durable, and easy to use. It definitely helped with the training and it is not sharp. I am all against any discomfort on my dog, so I’ve tried it against my palm and when you pull it tighter, it doesn’t cause hurt or pain to the animal. He walks great with it outside, and he doesn’t pull. It’s good for discipline.

Got this for my dog who was a stray and needed to use this to get his behavior together. This is not meant to hurt or harm doggy. This is a wonderful tool IF USED PROPERLY. The quality is nice even for the price. I came with a whistle as well which was cool. WeLove that it came with Grips and extra ones as well !

I did not have difficulty adding or subtracting links. No tools needed. I'm an older female n have difficulty with hands and wrists. Only thing I don't like is chrome silver coming off after maybe a months use.

We love that you can put the links in and out to fit the size of your dogs neck. We have had this for almost a year and the quality is great because the black things are still on the prongs. A dog seems to be comfortable in it. The only time that we have felt we needed to pull it off is if her neck has grown then she curls in a ball. This is when we know it needs another link added in. If it is not attached to a leash, it does slip around her neck, but that is also part of it being a training collar. We also have not ever had any sores or punctures from this collar at all. Overall, this is been a great training collar and we would highly recommend this.

We live in the city with no fenced in yard, so we have to walk our dog. We were using a harness for our dog but she started pulling too much. We used these types of collars in the past with previous dogs and knew they were great for training purposes. She has gotten used to it and doesnt mind it as much. Good purchase for price and durability.

I liked this whole it lasted. It made walks more enjoyable because she wasn't pulling and lunging anymore. However, it would constantly twist and get stuck. I had to have my husband try to untwist it and it always took a while. It was a pain in the butt. I was fine with that because it was great for walks so i tolerated it and just tried to be careful and not twist it. After having it only a few months (and only going on walks 3-4 times a week) while on a walk to clasp connecting the collar broke when she pulled and she ran off. It was quite the debacle trying to get this puppy back because she loved us chasing her. There was an aggressive dog walking near us and the owner was struggling to keep him under control while mine was running around off leash. It was a disaster and could have ended ver badly. I do not recommend this collar. I have a Golden doodle and while she is strong, she's not nearly as strong as a larger dog would be and it still broke. Don't buy. Total waste of money.

These prongs are nearly impossible to put back together while adjusting the size. I gave up after trying to use pliers. I handed it over to my 30 year old son and, after some serious cursing coming from the other room, he came back defeated. I ultimately bought another prong collar from Walmart that was much easier to adjust as well as easier to put on and take off of my dogs. You shouldn't end up with blood blisters after trying to size a dog collar.
