I bought this to replace my daughter's 4 year old stick back that was falling apart.Definitely an upgrade. Not only did it have more compartments but the bag feels sturdy.

Normally I use a stick bag that attaches to the tension rods of a floor tom. However I often "play lite" for various reasons, so about 30% of the time, I don't use a floor tom. On those gigs having the ability to access brushes, mallets, or spare drumsticks,becomes an annoyance. .I have found other stick holders that clamp to stands to be bulky and awkward. The Donner stick holder is a perfect solution for me. Plenty big enough for the tools i need - a spare set of sticks (or 2), a pair of mallets, pair of brushes and perhaps a specialty pair of rods, or whip sticks. It's unobtrusive, almost elegant, easy to set up, very compact in my hardware bag, and the price was very reasonable.. It's, as I say, the perfect solution for me.

Overall this works just fine, BUT it was very challenging to find a space to clasp in on any of my 3 drumsets. One is acoustic and the other 2 are electronic, but I have to find semi awkward spots to place this to lock it in. So my one complaint would be the way they're machined on the clasp portion. Like I said, I made it work and it holds me sticks!

Worked great for a while then the hanger broke off when I tried to mount it on my drum. I also just don't like how the front pockets look.Edit: Donner contacted me and sent me a new one their customer service is very good. I actually really like this stick bag now. I left my band not too long ago so I haven't gotten any field practice with it. I did hang it on the side of my drum for a week with no breakage. Donner Direct has great customer support 10/10 would recommend again.Edit: July 23, 2023I wanted to add one more update when I reviewed this drum bag I didn't get a chance to actually use it in a gig. Well I got a gig and let me just say this is hands down one of the best drum bags I've ever used. The front packet fits all basic things that I need. Inside they have front pockets that are used for more sticks but I use that for a pen/pencil. I can't recommend this bag enough I love this thing.

Given how relatively inexpensive this is, I was very pleasantly surprised at its quality.I was slightly concerned whether it would attach easily to my electronic drum kit (V-Drums), but I found that it attaches quite easily in a variety of convenient spots. The bag is sturdy and keeps its shape well too.I rarely write reviews, especially for a small item like this, but it's nice to find a quality item like this at such a reasonable price. A+ would buy again, but doubt I'll need to.

MY PREVIOUS STICK BAG WAS AROUND 30 YEARS OLD, AND WAS FINALLY MEETING ITS END. ZIPPER DONE, RIPPING OUT OF THE MATERIAL ETC. I CAN SEE THAT THIS ONE WILL GIVE ME MANY YEARS AS WELL. MY PREVIOUS ONE HAD METAL HOOKS, BUT THESE ARE PLASTIC, SO HOPEFULLY THEY WILL LAST. BAG GOOD, HOOKS NOT SURE YET...

We've had this accessory for over a year now and there have been no problems. It's a good quality and great value for the price. The clamp worked perfectly for our son's Alesis Nitro kit.
