The included steel bushings are leaps and bounds better than the standard bushings.Used this kit on a 99 OBS Silverado crew cab. My holes were a bit worn, so I sanded out the holes, put in a little JB weld, and then pressed in these fittings. Let everything harden and reassemble. It's been 6 months with no issues. I'm not sure why some reviews mention grinding off a ridge on the pins.

Bent the tool the first time I used it. Had to clamp it in the vice to compress the spring in the tool then clamp the tool shut with two vice grips to get it in. I’d send it back if I didn’t immediately throw it away when the job was over.

The tool isn’t strong enough to compress the springs but everything else installed and worked perfectly

Dont buy this cheap one it bent within 3 mins of using it the cheap metal is junk
