Easy to cut and fit on a guitar for a pick guard, and bonds really well. Thick enough to hold up well when playing.

This product worked well to replace the missing pickguard on a recent thrift store rescue of a 1970 Giannini 240 acoustic guitar. After some repair and adjustments, the guitar plays well and looks great with the new pickguard.

I am replacing a pick guard on a Martin D12-20. The original appears to be just over a millimeter thick and fairly rigid. I misjudged the listed thickness of the material in this order and find it to be too thin to provide the appearance of quality I feel would be appropriate for the guitar I am repairing. Unfortunately, I cut the material to fit before I realized the thickness difference, so I can't return what I have. This is my responsibility and I am not complaining about the product. I am suggesting that you be careful to evaluate the thickness in view of the appearance as well as the acoustic performance. I have never had a problem with 1.5 mm material's effect on acoustics, but there is an effect on the appearance of quality on older guitars. Simply a word to the wise.

Replaced the OG pickguard because it was bubbling up after 10 years. This was a little thinner than I expected it to be, but it went on nicely and was easy to cut. There’s enough material to get two pickguards out of it (if you don’t cut a left handed one on accident that is). Definitely stuck on well. It was out in the sun for some hours and it got some crazy bubbles on it but then I realized it was a thin plastic protective layer and I peeled that off and she’s still super clean and no bubbles after 5 hours in the sun on an 90° day. Highly recommend.

Great material for sticking onto your plain pick guard to add some style. This completely transformed the look of my Squire affinity natural finish telecaster. I had to use more than one sheet to cover the entire pick guard. I made the largest portion I could with one whole sheet and put the seam for the remaining piece down near the controls where it would show the least. The pattern helps hide the seam if you cut the edges at a clean 90° angle and butt them tightly before sticking them down. I had to completely remove the controls from the pick guard to accomplish this, which is time consuming. I took advantage of that as an opportunity to also add shielding to the pickup cavities using copper foil tape but that is for another review.Cutting out the interior pickup holes is a little tedious. I used a retractable utility knife to pull carefully along and trim the outside edges to match the existing chamfer of the factory pick guard. If you take your time and go slowly, this will leave a slight pinstripe of reveal of the original pick guard color just below at the chamfered edge. It came out beautifully. I used a pointed exacto knife to cut out the holes for the control knobs and the pick guard screws. You have to cut the screw holes a little oversize because the oval screw heads will buckle the decal when you tighten the screws if they bear down on the decal.

Was lead to believe I was ordering a ''CLEAR'' piece of pick gard Materal, however because of this Very missleading add what I recieved is nothing more than a paper thin piece of laminating plastic one would use for photos etc''.. I did consider just keeping it mabey for what it,s good for, which isnt much I must add. However due to all the wasted time this ordeal has now cost me I will more than likely return this not because I cant afford the 9 bucks, but rather due to the iritation involved why should I be the only one inconvienced with this. My advice to Do Pro''' make your adds clear & defined''period''. I wanted pick,guard materal not paper thin Decal plastic.

Usato come battipenna/estetico su un basso che ho sverniciato, per ora nonostante il caldo tiene bene e non mostra scollamenti, laborioso il procedimento di ritaglio, ci vuole accuratezza e pazienza ma vale la pena

PURCHASED THIS MATERIAL AND IT IS TOO THICK TO CUT ACCURATELY WITH SHARPEST EXACTO KNIVES AND SCISSORS, AND TOO THIN TO SAND AND SHAPE PROPERLY. THROWN IT IN THE GARBAGE AND WASTED MY TIME AND MONEY!

Estupendo para lo que yo quiero. Lo pegué encima del original, como consejo te digo que es muy difÃcil de despegar, asà que piénsalo bien antes de colocar,se corta bien con las tijeras âœ‚ï¸ y se pueden lijar los rebordes. El resultado es brillante. Muy recomendable.
