The cable wasn’t crimped in ant it pulled out of the handle on first use,I ordered a replacement please make sure that the cable is properly crimped in to the handle

Garbage. I never leave reviews but this broke before it was even installed. Crimped end came off.

Exact fit, super easy to install. Hardest part is removing the factory one, if you have a 92 or older you have the difficult style and you're best off drilling the old one out and removing the shattered plastic. Or you have to remove the whole dash panel and ain't nobody got time for that.

When my 92 Silverado’s original release broke I discovered my dealer no longer stock or had access to this 30+ year old system part. The ordered after market part fit perfect and functioned like the original.

Showed up in the correct orientation. Proceeded to completely fall apart into three separate pieces as the wire was never properly connected to the handle before I could install it.I guess I'll be tracking down a longer piece of cable to build it properly myself as the existing cable is shorter than the sheath and cannot be connected as is.Annoyingly Dorman seems to be the only source of replacement for this as even the OEM part sucked too if you can even find one in one piece.

I was a little hesitant to purchase this due to some of the other reviews but went ahead and bought it and am glad I did. Works great and is a ton easier to release the e brake with out having to use vise grips. So far so good, no issues to report.
