Seems to be fairly well made. Actually bought this for a 1983 Toyota 4x4 instead of the 85+ application, but so far it looks like everything is the same. All the parts are coated with some sort of silver coating that is probably meant to prevent corrosion, which is why they get replaced (frozen solid). Inner parts bag came with a hole in it, and I am missing one of the clips to retain the brake cable pin, so be careful when you open it.Update: So, after trying to figure out why the new levers didn't want to fit, it looks like the levers themselves are different than what is on my 1983. Fortunately, I was able to separate the original lever and hardware on my truck, clean up and refurbish the original levers. The hardware in the kit is all identical, and the base blocks are what really gets messed up in these pieces. So, if you're careful you can re-use your original levers, and use the hardware from this kit to repair your brakes on an older truck. Don't destroy your original levers, though! I cleaned the rust of and re-painted mine.

Worked on my '86 4Runner 22RE truck. Only pain was removing the seized factory hardware.

Used this on my Pickup. Looks well made. Went on easy. Would have given 5 stars but the horse shoe clips were so hard they broke when trying to bend. Had to use the old ones.
