This fit my 2006 Durango SLT, dual air, no climate control, exactly. The fan worked only on the two highest settings, so I knew instantly the problem was the resistor pack. I could see no difference between the Dorman pack and the original. The original plug/harness was intact, so there was no need to use the Dorman supplied plug/harness. Removal and installation is about 15 minutes. Under the glove box, remove the 2 screws and resistor pack cover, then remove the 2 screws holding the resistor pack and remove the resistor pack. Push the slide/snap on the plug to get the original resistor pack off the plug. Install the new resistor pack with its two screws, and then slide the plug on and reinstall the cover. You might want to sit on a cushion or small bucket or stool outside the passenger door to do this. Simple job, just a little back twisting required.

If you own a Dodge, you know you have to replace these constantly. Especially if you try to turn the fan up higher than 2. The blower motor is just too big for the resistor Dodge installed in the Dakotas. And I'm told Durangos are the same. I always try to have a spare 1 of these on hand. Amazon had the best price I found and shipped quickly when I needed 1 fast and didn't have that 1 back up. I've only had to replace the pigtail once though. And I should mention I am a woman. So if any woman thinks she can't replace this...yes you can. Easy to install. Hardest part is getting up under the dash, but it still only takes me about 10 minutes at the most. I highly recommend you DO NOT turn the fan on higher than 2. It still puts out a lot of heat in the winter and a decent amount of air in the summer. And you won't be so likely to burn the resistor up.Update 11/7/21: In response to the "don't be a dummy" review, check out Dodge forum. I've changed my blower motor twice now. The problem is the motor is too big for the resistor and if you turn it up beyond 3 it burns it. Check the plug next time you change it and you can see where it's burning. I agree with Dodge Forum; the blower motor has too much power at 4 or 5 and burns these out. And people who read reviews are looking for others experiences. Not insults!

I've had a recurring problem with my 01 Dodge Dakota blowing resistor cards, I thought it was a design fault. Then I was informed that the blower motor could be drawing too much current. I replaced my aging motor with a new motor I purchased at the same time from Amazon and before I ordered it I noticed that the connector that plugs into the resistor card was damaged and I decided to replace the plug along with the resistor card. This Dorman item, # 973-426, was an exact replacement, and was an excellent high-quality made item. It even included five electrical butt connectors to make splicing in this new plug & wiring harness a snap. Installation was straight-forward and even with taking my time it was only a 30 minute task. I am thrilled at the results! It worked perfectly in conjunction with my new motor and it worked 100% correctly from the start. As a bonus, this plug & harness AND resistor card only cost $10.26. If you buy the resistor card alone at a local AutoZone or O'Reilly's you pay over $12. I am extremely well-pleased with this product and give it 5 stars and a hearty recommendation.

Don't use the included connectors. The size of wire is too small on the vehicle end and it slips out easy. I used connectors that I could disconnect and reconnect easily since this part can fail commonly. If your resistor has gone out your HVAC motor is likely going bad and causing this resistor to blow. I recommend buying a HVAC motor too. This is a good value since it comes with the connector.

Resistor works as it should , wire length on pigtail much longer than from other sources and heavier gauge. Very pleased.

Fixed my 03 dakotas fan issue. Very good price, my only complaint is the wiring on the new harness is all the same color which would make future changes (if the harness ever goes again) a bit more difficult for someone else to fix. Other than that it is a great deal for the price
