I went about 115,000 miles without a working cruise control on my '04 Accord. That's because Honda won't sell you the plastic cam that breaks, just a complete throttle body. I figured buying an old throttle body from a junk yard would just get me another old plastic cam that would break. I lucked out and saw a YouTube video where a man used a junk yard throttle body but showed this Dorman kit at the end. Unfortunately, he posted the wrong part number, so I had to search for a bit. I ordered this kit and a new throttle body gasket and handed them to my local mechanic. I now have a fully functional cruise control for about 1/10 the cost of a Honda part.

This worked great for my Element. My cruise control wasn’t working because the round arm broke off the throttle body. This was an exact fit! Still working well 2 years later.

Great kit installed in 2003 Honda element..the springs seem to be a little lower quality than factory..but still works perfectly..cruise is back ..Honda should make the clip out of metal to begin with and you don't have to remove throttle bottle. Took about 30 minutes easy.

Over the 420,000+ km life of my 2003 Accord, I've had two failures of the plastic Cruise Control cam on the throttle body. Honda doesn't sell the cam separately, so in the past I purchased a used throttle body with an intact cam. I was unable to source one this time. I happened upon a reference to this kit on YouTube, and a few days later I'm back in Cruise Control heaven.The instructional video available on the Dorman website was very helpful - except that there are a couple of steps in the installation sequence that mention metal washers when the parts are actually plastic. Threw me for a loop until I reviewed the removal steps to confirm that while the words were wrong, the parts are correct.
