Although the product description says the cylinder works on Audi S4 2001 and Audi Allroad 2003, in my experience on both vehicles the slave cylinder LEAKS. After grinding the tabs and fitting the slave as described by other reviews, 8 weeks after installing the slave lost all fluid and left me stranded. I would not recommend this slave cylinder for these cars and believe the fitment guide is inaccurate. The slave only works with newer vehicles.

It is quite sturdier than the original slave cylinder. Keep in mind that this cylinder requires a bit of filing before installation. The area around the mounting bolt has to be rounded to ensure proper seating on the transmission wall. While this only takes 10-15 min, it is not exactly a bolt-on application. Other than that, a great product absolutely worth the money.

Had no clutch… turns out the throw rod was too long. Had to remove the green locktite to use a normal fitting. M12x1.0 btw. You’ll need to seal the new fitting if your not using that push fitting… stupidity.

I would have given it 5 for its metal and works great once installed, only issue was the same as what other people had said about it needed some minor dremel grinding to round off a portion of the mounting hole to fit perfect on a manaul trans Audi B5 S4, otherwise it an excellent product hopefully it will last longer than the plastic OEM that lasted 250,000 miles.

This slave cylinder kept trapping air. I bled the clutch correctly several times and still get a pressure loss overtime. Finally today, the slave cylinder failed catastrophically. I suspect there is an internal seal failure. I also suspect that this seller knew about it when he/she sold this product as new. Life has a way of catching up with thieves. Good luck all.

Works great. Had to grind the 2 little bumps off the slave cylinder. It fit perfect after that. 2000 Audi a6 2.7t.

I installed this on an Audi a4 b6 and it worked fine. I did have the trans out when I installed it. I had to modify the mounting hole it did not line up and the rod end was very loose in the trans casting. I used the old rubber boot to make a better seal at that end. With the trans in the car i would have never got this to install.

Internal seal failed, dumping fluid and pressure from the clutch. No warning signs or anything.Would not recommend, especially with the effort that goes into replacing them.
