Is as the product description says, very heavy duty. Nice heavy, solid metal. Is definitely gonna keep anything snugly shut until you open it. Very excited to add it to the truck camper build!

When they say large clasp, they were not kidding! This thing is beefy. When closed it takes about 1-3/4” of space from front to back & 2-3/8” wide. This is definitely more than you’d need for a kitchen cabinet. I used it to modify a tv cabinet in a charter bus. It no longer bounces open while traveling down the bumpy roads. Worked great!

I ordered this to use as a latch for a personnel door into our garage. It is well made out of what appears to be cast steel. The springs provide a serious tension on the latch assembly. Unfortunately it takes way too much force to pull the door free from the latch assembly. That is not a fault of the latch, it was a mistake in my use. I really like the latch, but just need to find a use for it that need a really tight latching force!

This is not your average household catch. It is quite large so more useful on something like a garage cabinet or something more industrial. it takes about 5 lbs. of force to come apart so it will hold a lot of things closed.I am happy with my order and I hope this was helpful. ✔️ Thanks!
