Three Steps to choose the correctly bobbin for you.
Step 1, Bobbin Size
There are more than 20 different sizes of bobbin, but A, L and M these 3 sizes are covered more than 85% machines on market. Please check the suitable machine models list photos which we update yearly with new models add on or the bobbin measure size below to find the correct bobbin. If you are still not sure, please feel free to check with us before purchase.
Size A, also called Style A, SA 156, Class 15, Style 15, Size 11.5
Diameter 13/16"(2.06cm), Height 29/64"(1.15cm)
Size L, also called Style L, SA 155, Size 9.4
Diameter 27/32"(2.13cm), Height 23/64"(0.89cm)
Size M, also called Style M
Diameter 1-1/64"(2.60cm), Height 7/16"(1.10cm)
Step 2, Bobbin Type
3 different bobbin types. Plastic Sided (P), Card Board (C) and Side Less (X) Plastic Sided like a regular aluminum or steel bobbins just made by plastic. It is most common and stable bobbin, can be used on all type of machines without issue. So it is customers' first choose. Card Board bobbin with a plastic core but two sides walls use paper to reduce cost. It may load more thread than Plastic Sided bobbin, but paper can not give enough support than plastic. So NOT suggest to use on machines with top load bobbin or with a strong bobbin picker Side less without a core and also no walls two sides, so it is cheapest. Many problems while using, we stopped selling it in the USA and Europe, only at some markets looking for cheap only.
Step 3, Thread Color, Type & Size
We offer White (W) color thread, Black (B) color thread and colored thread with 3 digits color number.
Spun Polyester looks like cotton, soft and strong, it's customers' first choose. Brother new models and other brand machines which without bobbin tension adjustment, can use Spun Polyester as bobbin thread only.
60S/2 (60S2) thread weight 50WT is Brother recommend #90 thread, normal as embroidery bobbin but can be used as sewing bobbin also.
40S/2 (40S2) thread weight 34WT, thicker, normal as sewing bobbin, and thicker thread embroidery bobbin.
Filament Polyester looks like silk, fine thread so with more yards on bobbin but thread with glue. Not good on Brother new models with bobbin thread shows on top of fabric. Normally as embroidery bobbin only.
75D/2 (75D2) thread weight 60WT
70D/2 (70D2) thread weight 60WT, high tenacity like Spun 60S/2.
DTY Filament Polyester looks like normal Filament. Thread with elasticity, not good as bobbin but cheap. For some markets for cheap only.

For what I am doing, these bobbins are fine and the quality seems fine as well. I have washed my project but only once to remove the stabilizer. My biggest frustration is that my Baby Lock Aerial does not alert to a low or empty bobbins with these.

Perfect for my Husqvarna Viking Diamond and Topaz 20. I was paying $.50 a spool at my quilt shop and could only get 10 at a time. This will definitely save me time and a lot of money. I am good for at least a year as an avid sewer. I have added this box to my favorite things list.

I sew with Husqvarna embroidery machines and they are very particular about the bobbins used in them so I was very hesitant about using pre-wounds.No more - these bobbins are ideal, work beautifully and I feel more economical that winding my own, there seems to be a lot more thread on each.And of real importance - the thread quality is excellent - fine but strong.

I have been using cardboard sided bobbins for years and had nothing but issues.These plastic sided size L 60S/2 work beautifully in my Brother PR 1000e and bobbin goes right to the end.So very happy that my machine is no longer stopping constantly.
