my dog is small, 8 or 10 #s with a short tiny face, her nose from tip to eyes is just 2 inches long. she was a rescue dog and gets nervous around new people and tends to nip if they try to pet her. this worked great to keep her under control at our last house party. she was able to be around people but not scare anyone. she can get her tongue out easy to lick people, drink water and even open her mouth enough to sneak in a bit of food on the floor, but not enough to get a bite on someone. if she were a breed that pants, she would be able to do that too. she did not want to keep it on but could not get it off, and she tried quite a bit before giving up. I think it was comfy enough, she didnt seem in any distress. we got the size 1. she has a thin muzzle, not a thick one. you can not adjust the muzzle girth. you can adjust how far back it goes behind the head. the buckle was a bit large for the size but it was also easier to use than those tiny buckles some smaller dog stuff comes with. I was happy to have this for my dog. I might even sew some fleece inside to make it comfy for when we shave her face again. its much better than risking her nipping someone. and she just seemed to be a better behaved dog while this is on. if I can answer any questions on this, just ask me. I purchased this for my purebred Border Collie who is super aggressive when you try to de-mat him. Based on the sizing chart people posted in the photos, Border Collies should be a size 2. However, based on the reviews, I decided to order a size 3. I feel like it was the perfect size. It was snug enough not to let him bite or nip, but big enough to allow him some room to breathe and to open his mouth just a tiny bit.... He was very anxious while wearing it and I think the slightly larger size helped him feel a little more at ease. I couldn't say if the size 2 would have worked, but I am satisfied with the fit. I used it to brush out his tangled undercoat for about 30 minutes and it proved both sturdy and effective. I recommend lots of treats when you take it off so they don't grow fearful of it.

Overall, it is a nice nozzle for the price. Sizing was pretty correct. Only negative I would say is that the class is very small for a muzzle that size a good product.

"Easy Measuring Instructions" the company boasted. I am a 4 year university graduate so I feel confident in my ability to read inches and follow 'easy' directions. So after assessing my dog's snout and matching his measurements to the provided chart, I couldn't believe when my order came and the muzzle wouldn't even slide on my dog at all. In fact, at the opening, which is the widest part, the muzzle just barely fit over my dog's bottom jaw! No way THAT was going to keep his mouth shut.I tried the muzzle on my little Labradore. While a bit tight in the muzzle for her it at least might have been used for short periods should I REALLY need it. Let me say, for an item that was dramatically too small in the muzzle, the "Fully adjustable strap with quick-release buckle" was so loose at it's tightest fit that a couple inches of slack hung down my dog's back. She quickly pawed it off and began chewing it up.Which brings me to the claim of "Quality grooming muzzle, a top choice for professionals" and "Strong nylon fabric" In the half a minute it took me to open her cage and take the muzzle away from her she managed to destroy the plastic buckles, put dozens of little holes through the fabric and then ripped one strap just about completely off in the process (we played a bit of tug with it before I got it away from her)Conclusion: Take your dog to Petsmart or Petco where you can fit a muzzle before you buy it. Even when we are training or disciplining our furry friends into silence, there's no room for uncomfortable or even harmful errors.

I ordered a size 2 muzzle for my dog; description of product said it would fit a beagle, & my dog is about the same size. Product arrived quickly but was much too small, couldn't even get it on him. I used my credit card rewards points, so it didn't cost me anything & would cost me more to send back, so I just kept it & will give it to my Veterinarian at our next visit, as I'm sure he will be able to use it. The product seems to be well made & durable, & I only ordered it in hopes that it would help so I could attempt to cut my dog's nails rather than taking him somewhere that stresses him out more. My advice would be to order a size larger than what the description says.

My little girl has become very protective. If a person comes close to us or tries to pet her, she will bark, growl, and try to bite, hence needing a muzzle for everyone's safety. This muzzle is wonderful. She is a mini dachshund, and I ordered a size 0, a perfect fit. Couldn't be happier as she can breathe easily yet cannot bark or bite. A+ for all!

Seems ok except I don’t like how the material feels for a muzzle. Also have to send it back because the sizing info in the photos on amazon show caused me to order a size 2 when my dog needs a much bigger size. Photo included of the different sizing info provided with the product.

The muzzle fitted well,bought to try to stop my dog from nipping at other dogs .He did not like wearing it but only put it on him to deter him from attacking other dogs.Some improvement in behaviour.Will never be perfect.The picture of chihuahua is exactly like my dog

This product is amazing. It was so simple to put on and there was little to no resistance from my yorkie. Once on, it is clear that there is no obstruction at all to his breathing and he is even still able to lick his lips. It didn't really try to get it off either. Very light and simple. GREAT price. Very pleased with this

Ordered this on Wednesday afternoon, delivered the next morning, it came well packaged. I bought this for my elderly dog who keeps growling at my 19month old granddaughter, I just can't take the risk of the dog snapping at her, the muzzle doesn't bother her at all, the dog can still drink from her bowl while she's wearing it. Highly recommended.
