My first son loved this straw bottle so I just purchased them again for our second son. He is slowly getting the hang of it! I love the design with the weighted straw because it makes it easier to get the liquid out. The bottle is also lightweight and the handles are good for little hands to grip. Overall very high quality and would definitely recommend as a first / transitional straw bottle.

My son has health issues and he aspirates when drinking. Because of this he has to be a on a special thickened diet, and he can only drink from a slow flow straw bottle. After researching all the different options, I circled back around to the Dr. Brown's Sippy Straw Bottle. (I always come back to this brand!)The best part about this bottle is that it is easy for my sons tiny hands to hold. It comes with removeable silicone handles which he can not use because he has to sit at a 90 degree angle to drink. But even without the handles, it is still the perfect size for him to hold on his own. The handles are soft and flexible and easy to remove and clean. I also love that it has a closable lid, as I often have to pre-mix his drinks and then store them in the fridge. This allows me to not have to store open drinks overnight.These cups are not hard to clean if you have a dishwasher. I simply rinse the cup and then take all the pieces apart - the bottle, the straw, the sippy spout, and the lid - and place them in the dishwasher. I have never had an issue with mold by cleaning them this way. I do think hand washing them would be a little bit more involved, especially for the straw - but the bottles do come with a long tiny brush that fits in the straw for proper cleaning.The weighted straw does not do its job as far as being able to drink from any angle. This is not a problem for us, and actually works better in my favor due to my sons health issues and requirements - but if you are looking for a straw cup that they can tip back and still be able to drink from, this is not the one.Overall this is a great cup. Any Dr. Browns users will know that they are not ideal when it comes to being easy to clean. But it's a small price to pay for a genuinely good quality sippy cup.

This is a good buy especially for my breast fed LO. My 7mo refused to take a bottle anymore so we switched to cups, and so far this is her favorite. The suction is a bit hard so I just pulled the straw down a bit from the inside and it makes it a lot easier.So far it is durable, easy to clean, no leaks and my LO can use it without help

Sometimes these don’t work, it makes bubbles when the child sucks. I got pretty frustrated but finally I read the instructions and now it works great! Make sure you add the mouth part to the top plastic part first, then connect the long straw. Also make sure you pull the mouth part up so it clicks in place. It shouldn’t be complicated haha but for some reason for me it was, so for anyone getting frustrated, make sure you do it that way and they work great! So good for getting my toddler off a regular bottle. You can also take the handles off, that helps my son feel like it’s a bottle and made the transition easier!

Love hate relationship with these sippy cups. They are basically the only ones that don’t leak, are soft rubber instead of hard plastic, dishwasher safe, and my daughter’s favorite. They’re super painful to clean because there’s a lot of crevices and a straw brush can’t be pushed through the mouth piece (because of the leak proof feature). My daughter has a habit of chewing and these break really easily. The suction of them sometimes doesn’t work and makes it really hard to get anything out of it. You have to assemble it PERFECTLY but I’ve bought several that the problem never resolved and I had to throw out. So it has some amazing features and some not so good ones.. just depends on what you are looking for
