Works great if you use BOTH a check valve between motor and switch/reservoir AND install switch directly in reservoir (remove from Tee)!

Ive been through 3 switches on my engine swap. This one lasted about 5 minutes. Does not work long term at all. For reference have only ran my engine and luckily not driven it around as i would have no brakes essentially. These are cheap bad quality parts and will be switching to an adjustable vacuum switch.

Unscrew switch from tee, install switch in a vacuum canister from Jegs that has a built in check valve. just as one guy wrote it works perfect when switch is install in a vac canister, I adj switch using tee and 1/8" fitting to 20" vac. works perfect..Vacuum pump system must have a check valve for this switch or any switch to work.

As others have mentioned, the switch works fine at 1st then begins to short cycle and eventually quit working completely. I wouldn't trust this for use on a vacuum brake system. I used several check valves and confirmed a leak free system but the switch would short cycle anyway. It seems to have a zero tolerance set point for +- pressure. With no margin of tolerance the switch would cycle onoff when nearing the setpoint causing the pump to cycle 20x in a matter of seconds which isn't good. If you're installing a vacuum pump and vacuum canister go with a screw in pressure switch, trust me it's better. I don't see them on Amazon otherwise I would offer a link but this is a part # for Summit Racing. (SUM-760155-1) After installing that I have zero issues with cycling and I trust the build quality far more. I gave this 2 stars as I'm sure it would work for a project where my life didn't depend on it otherwise it would have been 1 star.

When I installed the unit as is with the tee, the pump would continuously cycle. I even installed a $45 check valve between switch and pump and it would still let a tiny bit of vacuum by making the switch send a signal to pump. After removing my vacuum gauge off the port of my vacuum canister and installing just the vacuum switch to it, my problems are gone. Switch works as it’s supposed to. Hopefully this review helps someone’s blood pressure and wallet. Installed this on a big cam Mustang.

It doesn't work! It shuts off at about 5 inches of vacuum and then doesn't respond when the vacuum drops off then switches on and off randomly. I have it triggering a relay and so there's no heavy electrical load on it. It sure doesn't hold up to 17 - 20 inches of vacuum as it's supposed to. I'm going to try adjusting it as another user mentioned but I hold little hope it will work. I'll probably return it.Nope, no adjustment screw in my unit. Useless! I'm going to return it. I can't return it, been over 30 days. ;-{

Works perfectly make sure you don’t have any leaks and it’s got a check valve on both sides of the sensor.

For all you folks who were having issue with the pump cycling on and off. The root cause is vacuum loss once pump turns off through the vacuum pump. Simply put a check valve between the pump and the switch and your good to go. The seller should advise this aswell and their reviews would be better

No good, does not work well with high pressure pumps like Hella, even with a relay.
