Not perfect insulation but it is flexible so there has to be compromise but it does the job well enough, inexpensive so I found it to be quite a good purchase and suits my needs (kayaking for a few hours).

This cooler is great, exceeded my expectations. It's awesome for if you are using the sit on kayaks you rent, mine fit very well on the back and stayed put even when I flipped (oops). Very spacious, I fit 2 medium Tupperware containers (maybe 5×5 inches, cube shaped), 4 bottles of water, and 10 Trulys.. plus ice and I had room for more. I didn't use the compartment you can attach because I out everything else in a dry bag. But I'll be using this for many things!!
