It's been almost 6 months now. It doesn't disappoint. The variable speed function works well and is used often. The button to disengage the chuck functions well. It handles easily; you can feel the exhaust air, so you know to try and not block those vents. And you can use the exhaust to blow dust away!There's a reason why a rotary tool is nicknamed "Dremel."

Nice set. I liked the various bits that were included, enough variety to complete several different tasks. This is a basic set but would fit the bill for numerous small projects or tasks and ability to upgrade w/more bits for additional projects. Would recommend.

Dremel doesn't miss. I have a battery-powered Dremel that doesn't work well with larger attachments like the large cutting wheels. This is a full power plug-in Dremel that does the job and isn't expensive. It's just what I needed when the battery-operated one didn't have the power. Note, I like the convenience of no cord, but sometimes I need the power plug-in gives me.

The Dremel tool itself is fine. Just be aware that it doesn’t come with a collet so the bits supplied are useless unless you buy one/some. A 1/8†is needed for the bits they give you.

I originally bought the Dremel 4000 but it was too big. The 3001 is smaller and easier ( for me ) to handle.

I know there are cheaper tools than Dremel. But my Dremel tools always last for many years. The cheaper tools from China never last long. If you want something to keep for a long time stick with genuine Dremel. If you just want something cheap to get you through an immediate small job, the Chinese version will be okay, but in a year or two, you'll need to replace it.

Dremel is the brand we trust. This tool never lets me down and is easy to maintain. Replacement parts are easy to acquire if needed. I’ve had a dremel for years

the little circles are sanding paper discs, not cutting wheels.kinda bs.wouldn't bother ordering the extra parts version
