I have a 45+ year old Dremel model 370, made in USA of course, still running strong. The original brushes are obsolete so I was able to mill these down to the right size and they work great.

My Dremel tool quit working and even though the old brushes looked ok, I thought I'd at least try to get it working again with new ones. It didn't work any better with the new brushes than it did with the old. I decided to take the tool apart since it didn't work anyway. I ended up dismantling the switch and cleaning it with contact cleaner. After reassembling the tool, it worked perfect with the new brushes installed. I removed the new brushes and reinserted the old and the little rotary tool still works great. Knowing the new brushes fit, I'll store them in the Dremel tool case for spares.

Just to confirm these are the correct brushes for the Dremel 3000, and fit perfectly. However, replacing these did not fix my issue (motor would come on sometimes when shaking the unit). Cleaning up the area on the motor where the brushes touch did not fix the issue either. The issue turned out to be that the four pins that come out of the other motor housing (not sure of the name, it plugs into the switch assembly) were not making good contact. I figured this out by wiggling the placement of the switch and this housing and was able to determine it would work sometimes. To make a fix, I cut away the plastic, exposing the metal clips underneath. I then trimmed down the pins on the switch a bit, and when putting it back together I soldered all four pins to their clips. The result is that the switch assembly and outer motor housing are one unit now, so I don't have to worry about it coming apart. It isn't pretty, but it sure beats a non-working dremel.I should also mention that I had to manually splice one of the copper wire ends to the clip with some 28 gauge stranded wire; not sure if it was lose from the beginning, or if it was because I messed it up when cutting away the plastic to expose the clips. There is plenty of room though so I just pre-tinned my wire, held it up to the copper end and soldered it, then wrapped it around and soldered it to where I had previously soldered the switch pin.To test that everything is going to work before re-assembling, you can use a multimeter on ohms to ensure that you are getting about 8ohms across the two pairs of farther apart pins.

Have had a dremel for over 20 years. Began to run roughly. Swapped out motor brushes and all is well.

These fit right into my Dremel and they work great I'm glad I realized that they were replaceable in the first place or else I would have been replacing my Dremel

Non perfettamente compatibili, vanno passati un pò su carta vetrata fine perchè scorrano, sono leggermente sovradimensionati, ma con poco si adattano perfettamente.
