I'm occasionally trying to rebuild electric motors and this whole set cost not too much more than just buying a couple brushes locally. Not sure how long they will last but they seem like a very very nice assortment. These will work well for what I need!

I got this set because when I need a pair of brushes I need them right then. Sometimes the power tool will just stop because the brushes have worn out and I don't really keep up with checking them every now and then. To continue my job I need to get the new brushes in right away. Anyway this set seems to have a wide selection of different brush sizes. Even the occasional brushes that aren't quite right included in the kit can usually be made by using a Dremel tool to reduce the size of one of the bigger brushes. I haven't actually used any of these but I've looked at several of them and they look well made. This looks like a great kit, particularly for those folks that still have a lot of corded tools, most of which use brushes. As brushless motors are becoming much more common, and nearly all battery run tools these days use brushless motors, it will likely get harder to find replacement brushes for tools that otherwise work perfectly well and use brushes. This is an inexpensive solution to an obsolescence problem that will likely grow worse.

Quality appears good. The selection is as stated on the top plastic divided container label. The connecting braided copper wires are firmly attached at the brush end, with all but the very smallest, (which has a tab connector) within springs for tension against the commutator and firmly attached, circular connector. The idea I have is to use a belt sander to make a perfect fit for my varied needs while wearing a protective mask against the graphite dust. The commutator end is concave as they should be and will quickly wear to fit. I'm happy to have them and they beat nothing by at least 100%!

These brushes look pretty much the same as any other brushes I've used in the past and I have no reason to believe they won't work fine when used in the right tool.There's a pretty decent selection of sizes so if you have an older power tool that's in need of brush replacement this set could be a very cost effective solution.I hope this helps. I needed some brushes for my 25 year old leaf blower but they are discontinued. I hope to find something in this set that I can modify to fit. The brushes are good and in good shape. Good selection at a great price.
