From the Manufacturer

The OSFHU high-bay occupancy sensor is specifically designed for high mounted areas such as warehouses, manufacturing and other high ceiling applications. The OSFHU installs directly to an industrial fluorescent luminaire or an electrical junction box. It is a self-contained sensor and relay that turns individual light fixtures on or off based on occupancy in the detection zone. It comes with three interchangeable lenses for use in either a 360-degrees high-bay or 360-degrees low-bay general area or an aisle way. The OSFHU provides reliable coverage up to 40 ft. Mounting heights. The OSFHU is also available in a model for cold storage applications with temperatures as low as -40-degrees f. To improve the field-of-view for deep body fixtures, a separate offset adapter accessory (OSFOA-00W) can be used to position the sensor below the fixture body. The adapter simply snaps into a 1/2-inch knockout on the end of the industrial fixture to attach the sensor. Fixture-mounted PIR high-bay sensor with 3 interchangeable lenses, white.

This thing works great. Installation instructions are straight forward. Mounted it to a standard electrical box inline with my new garage lighting arrangement. After power up it switched on and off and started working immediately. Seemed to automatically switch sensitivity after a few cycles. Now it turns on when the door opens which is perfect. Although a little pricey, it seems to be a quality part. Well done Leviton.

I am using six of these units to activate six "Lithonia Lighting FMLWL 48 840 LED Wrap Light, White, 4'" [Available separately through Amazon], in six Bypass Door Closet interiors [each interior is 72"W x 95"H x 32"D].Each Closet had been pre-wired to allow a lighting fixture. These sensors (and the lights) were installed together by an electrician. Installation was quick, with no negative issues. No External Switches, Pulls, or Door Contacts are used. When I reach into a closet, that closet's light illuminates! Each unit is timed to then shut off automatically.NOTE: The installation was done just two weeks ago, so I cannot yet offer longterm feedback.Delivery was Fast (a matter of days) and the Packaging was sufficient for the units to survive intact the rigors of Shipping.

The sensor cannot tell if it is night or day so it constantly turns on our light even during the day.

Works great in my basement with a 8 ft ceiling on standard fluorescent lamp fixtures. You can set the sensing pattern with the mask provided or use your own masking tape. There is no sensitivity adjustment but I found that I did not need one.

Sensors arrived on time and in good condition. They were easy to install by professional mechanic. You can change the size and direction of the sensors to fit your needs as they change with time. So far they hae been working well in the test we are conductiong. We just ordered more for the rest of the plant.

I love these.I have a flat roof, i.e., no attic. My house also has a low voltage lighting system that the well-heeled had installed in their homes in the 1950's--the light switches control relays in each ceiling box, which toggle on/off 110 V AC to the light fixtures. the system shorted out recently, coincident with roof replacement. we can neither find nor bypass the short. The three possible fixes included:1. rip up the roof. Find & correct the short or rewire the house costing $15-25,000--not something to think about in a rainy climate.2. install receivers and wireless switches costing at least $140 per room3. add wireless motion sensors to the ceiling fixtures costing from $22 to $85 per room.I chose this sensor for the dark places in my house that minimal natural light penetrates during the day. Installation was easy (I do have some DIY background) & the sensor comes with enough wire so I can install it where it won't activate the light if I don't enter the room where I've installed it.The Leviton sensors are quite sensitive. Love them. 5 year warranty.

I liked the convenience of having 7 closet lights and 2 room lights come on when the area became occupied. After 6 years 1 of the closet lights and the 2 room lights illuminate when no one is occupying the space.I moved 1 faulty sensor to a location with a sensor that was working properly but the faulty sensor continued to illuminate when no one is occupying the space. I assume there is a life expectancy of the sensor that is not mentioned in the literature.I don't want to be changing sensors every 6 years. I need sensors that will last longer.

As another has mention, 2 of the 3 I've ordered have been defective. Extremely disappointing from a brand I used to recommend.

I have an application in a Rowing Shell boathouse that I am using 20 of these units. After about a year of operation, I have had one unit fail. I ordered two, one to replace the defective unit and have a spare if I have another unit fail. Leviton was not helpful, they have no replacement.
