They are over priced like most things today. They do go through the rod eyes but NOT through roller guides

Love these swivels, use them for fishing but be aware! You can’t just tie fishing line direct to the holes in the swivel. The inside edges of the holes are often sharp. I use them when connecting to other metal fasteners to add extra dependable swiveling. I have used them for regular in line swivels but only after putting split rings on both ends. That’s a bit of work so I don’t buy them to use in that manner.

I thought to myself…â€why would I want some fancy machined stainless swivels that cost a dollar a piece?†So I did the sensible thing and bought them. I don’t regret it at all the larger surface area in the eyes makes the line not have as much pressure on one small area. It helps a lot with overall strength of your rig

So, these are beautiful... I am using them for hanging some garden art that consists of a glass sphere in an aluminum spiral. The overall weight of the unit is 6 oz and the weight of the piece locks the swivel into place and make it so the monofilament that is being used to hang the unit starts to spin on itself and hypercoil. I will try lubricating them, but for now, their performance is inadequate for this light load, let alone the 190lb load that it claims.
