This counter sink works really well. I've always had trouble with high flute count countersinks and had been using single flute to reduce chatter. This one cuts great and has no chatter at all. Very happy with it.

So far it works great, but it does leave a slight chartered edge when cutting into aluminum. I could just my method.

I bought this to countersink aluminum plate. I tried it in a drill press at high and low speeds and with high and low pressure, but it chattered terribly. I tried it in a battery drill/driver, again varying speed and pressure, but it still chattered. I even tried turning it by hand, and it still didn't work. So I returned it and purchased a KEO zero flute countersink, and every hole I have countersunk with it turned out perfect. Don't buy this countersink.I'm giving it two stars because it did remove material faster than my KEO.

Working on an old 1948 truck grille and using a 1/8" countersunk pop rivet on 14 Ga. mild steel. Had to countersink about 70 1/8" drilled holes. Keeping the drill speed down so as not to heat up the tip which kills any drill, I was able to easily countersink the holes and install the pop rivets with the results I had hoped for. I'll finish these up with a little fiberglass bondo and sand smooth, and its ready for primer.

The shank fits a half inch drill. Works great centered in a drill press. By hand they chatter.
