This tap has EVERYTHING you could want in a tap: A rectangular thingy at one end to hold it in a tap-turner thingy, a shaft and some really sharp threads that, like, make screw holes so screws will screw into the holes. It's amazing! And it's for left-handers like me. It's hard to find stuff for left-handers, especially tools. I paid dearly for my left-handed hammer, believe me. And finding left-handed wrenches is all but impossible, but that's another story. Anyway, this left-handed tap did everything I needed it to do for the one left-handed hole that I needed to tap. I will probably never need to use it again (sigh) which is a darn shame because it works so well. I think I'll encase it in resin and put it in my time capsule to preserve it for some future generation when left-handers have taken over the world.

The pedal on my daughter's bike got boogered up, and when trying to take it off, the threads were damaged. I didn't have any other way of fixing, so I was going to replace her bike. This little purchase saved me 100 bucks. Worked great.

Good quality tap. Unfortunately it is national course tap. I needed a national fine tap. It is what it is. Be mindful when ordering it. Did not work for me. Overall a solid piece of hardware.

I needed a reverse tap to adapt a weed cutter to work with fixed blade modification that replaces the string assembly. The kit used a 3/8" reverse bolt to attached the blades.Once I received the tap, I was able to cut threads required by the bolt. Worked out well. Have used the weed cutter several times and the bolt has not come loose.
