Arrived in a very nice plastic case. The tap was clean, sharp and nicely manufactured.Had to drill out 2 stuck screws and then clean the threads. Wasn’t sure how well it would work, but it exceeded all my expectations. This is a very nice tap! Excellent!

Worked great. Go slow and use tap oil. Back it out and clean the area of debris as you go. Don’t force it.

Cut well but bottoming tap snapped under moderate load.

Had to thread a blind axial hole in a piece of aluminum rod; this tap did the job easily and accurately. Cutting oil is always recommended when tapping metal, and I used some, but I'm pretty sure the tap would have cut clean threads without it, given that aluminum is so soft. Still, nice product at a fair price.

Used to tap some profile end holes in "8020.net" branded T-slot aluminum extrusion, size 4080 (light). The pre-existing extrusion central pair of holes were already the perfect size for this dia tap.Didn't even bother with tapping oil, just swiped it with a touch of lithium grease I happened to have nearby, slotted it into the squirrely little two-screw-style T-grip 'handle' and went to town. 4 flutes helped the swarf loosen right out, only had to back up a half turn about every 3-4 turns to start, then about every other once getting pretty deep, so it didn't feel like it was binding up too much.Bolts threaded right in nicely afterward, so obviously it worked. Not giving it a rating for durability though because I obviously didn't "challenge" it, but appears to be in fine shape for more of the same when I need to next time.

Ordered this tap to cut threads in a through-hole rotor shaft so the rotor could be removed with a forcing screw. The tap arrived in a small, clear plastic case inside of a plastic bag. Nifty little case for storage. The tap's fit and finish were excellent with sharply defined threads throughout and a very nice gradual taper to start. It alligned and cut the threads smoothly and with ease. I used a Lisle tap socket and ratchet to drive it with 80W-90 gear lube for cutting oil. I'm very pleased with the tap and would definitely order another Drill America tap or drilling tool when the need arises.

It came in the usual plastic cases for taps, which some sellers don't include, and works suitably on aluminum.

The taps are of very high quality, they are more money but you get quality when you pay for quality. The only issue I had is that it took a very long time for them to ship and for me to received them about 8 weeks in total.

la punta venia sin finalizado, no se podÃa trabajar bien en el torno, hubo que adquirir una nueva en otro lugar, decepcionante
