Wouldn’t be returning if I could

Innovative tool for making a low cost drill press for your personal workshop. This allows for limited tasks. Due to some wobble in the press-down arm, accuracy suffers. A serious wood or metal worker would want to invest in a more conventional drill press.

I tried all different 4 different drills and none of them would fit in this without it tipping over. I had high hopes for this but no matter what I did, I could not get it to work like it should have. This was returned.

This item is of very poor quality, doesn't grip the drill well, is difficult to use, is not accurate and, oh yeah, comes without instructions.

Good for occasional small projects....I bolted it onto my work bench and drilled an extra hole through the base so now it's attached by three bolts... that stabilized it much more as with just two bolts, the whole stand rocked too much when operating it...but then my workbench isn't the most sturdy either....I only use it for woodwork, I haven't used it on metal, just drilling through all plywood sizes and 2 by and 1by stock soft and hardwoods....I also spray silicone on the moving parts and everything slides more smoothly...my half inch corded Rigid drill fit in the collar and tightened up just fine. I also use a trigger clamp or two strategically placed to secure the workpiece.I also use either new or properly sharpened standard and spade bits. ..use common sense... which does seem to be at an all time low out there these days.. how about you??????... works good for me...

Item is well-made decent quality. Unfortunately, it won't fit any of my drills, although I measured ahead of time. Off by like 1mm. It probably won't fit any of your drills, either -- check carefully.(Also came with a defective cap screw -- had a defective thread that would damage the aluminum it was supposed to thread into.)

They gave me a RTA, but I was to pay shipping charges, which would have been more than the item cost.NOTE: to Amazon, get rid of this shipper and also the person writing this software. Stretch, Sheerness and Thickness have nothing to do with Drill Press.,
