This is a quality drill tap. I used it to tap a steel coupling for a home project, and it did just what I wanted it to. It worked very well with an electric drill, and I would recommend DeWALT to others. No real downsides to the purchase; however, if you will be doing a good bit of machining, I would look into purchasing a complete set as it would be cheaper.

Used to drill .125 2024 aluminum which is soft. The drill bit had a rough time of it. The tap itself worked as I would expect with lubrication.

Chews up when used on metal pretty easily but does work to do what it's supposed to do.

I honestly can not believe that this product came with out the tap, only the drill bit was in the package and the tap was ripped out of the package. I don't know where the tap was lost but I will be returning this. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
