I was able to use these curved needles with waxed embroidery thread for a DIY notebook project I was working on. I watched a Youtube video on book binding and the person was using curved needles, so I got these. I wasn't sure if waxed embroidery thread would fit in these needles when I ordered them, but I am very pleased to say that it does fit in the needle hole! It might be tougher to thread if the thread is not waxed though. You can use candle wax, beeswax or even chapstick to wax the end of your embroidery thread so that it will go into the needle hole more easily. (The home-made notebooks came out great.)

Exactly what I was looking for! These are the smaller size curved needles that you can use for sewing or quilting. They are thinner than the average upholstery needles and work great. They come in a set of 4 (2 x 2 in and 2 x 2 1/4 in). I use them for sewing hard to reach places in stuffed toy making and they work like a charm!

Sturdy and functional. The eyes are not overly large. If that is a problem, a simple needle threader will fix that. the points are sharp. I really hate dull needles. So these are to my liking

I recommend for hand basting a quilt sandwich. They made the process much easier and faster

Sturdy and great for repairs. Splitting up between sewing kit and emergency first aid kit. I paid less than $1/needle and I have used these more than the straight ones included in my sewing kit.Would buy again

got these to try and make sewing a lot of patches onto a jacket easier. i have no idea how folks use these little fellas! they waggle around all over the place and, if anything, made the project substantially more difficult and time-consuming. however, i can see these being useful in making plushies in the future, so overall not a huge loss. it takes practice if you're only used to hand sewing with a regular needle, so keep that in mind!

I purchased these needles to sew jacquard trim around the bottom of my jean shorts. I love the fact that they are curved which made sewing the trim on quick and easy. These needles moved through a regular jean material really well! I would recommend purchasing if you are looking to use these on a thicker material such as jeans.
