This is a nice, handy needle holder. It’s the perfect size that fits in my needlework bag. It’s not too big that it takes up space and it’s not too small that it gets lost. It’s a pretty color and is easy to open. It closes nicely and I’m not worried about it opening on its own. There is a nice variety of needles. Weirdly, the words ‘needle box’ are printed upside down. The needles seem to be fine quality and thread easily (but I always use a needle threader!)

These are the best needle holder/organizer for your sewing kit. I prefer pincushions at home, but in the sewing kit that I carry, I like having it organized into different compartments so I can keep track of which needle I am using. I usually carry at least two sizes - some tiny No. 10 needles, but also more sturdy darners as well. Trying to sort through them after dumping them all into a single tubular holder is never ideal.I have bought a few needle cases over the years, and I haven’t found any that is better than this. It has five different compartments so that I can organize my needles, a closure that closes securely, and even a magnet handle so I can use it as a portable pin holder and also a device to pick up needles and pins if I drop any.It also comes with a lot of large-eyed needles, a smaller tubular case, and even a seam-ripper + threader. You get a lot for your money, and each item is very handy. I especially want to point out that this is a great seam-ripper + threader combo. I’ve tried a few of these combo devices, and the seam ripper point always falls out, making them useless and dangerous. This one is well made and has little cute hearts on the handle as well. This is really a wonderful set of sewing notions.

Nice little thing, except it’s not secure - if you were to put it in a bag, or even your pocket, the clear lid can open easily, which would then dump out every needle it contained. The magnets on the side to hold loose needles aren’t very strong either, and those would get loose even more easily. So advertising it as being “for travel” is a terribly misleading idea. But, if you have a few needles at play at the same time and just want someplace to park them while you’re working, it’s great!

I want to like this case - it looks nice and the concept is cool. But it doesn't actually latch closed. I don't know if I just got a defective one or if the design itself is flawed. But staying closed is probably the most important part of a needle case, so I can't recommend it.

This is a nice encased needle box - that ensures your needles are stopped from escaping. The top hinges open for access and the side opening handle is magnetic to help you pick up needles. There are slots for 5 different sizes of needles, but each slot can only really hold 4-5 needles. It comes with two in each slot.Things that may be annoying: the slots are designed to handle different length needles. If you put a short needle in a longer slot then you have to empty the box to retrieve it. I would like this more if the green needle holder were transparent. It could be a colored transparent, but being able to see the needles would be much better.

I volunteer as a historical educational nonprofit and go to different places to demonstrate historical crafts. I loose a lot of needles in transport and thought this container is brilliant. No fault to the container but I am finding it incredibly hard to find needles of different sizes that will fit into this. This is an idea solution and its not the fault of the designer that I live in a rural and have to buy over the internet and I find measuring of products to be very inconsistent when a mm will make the difference between what the manufacturer lists and what things actually are. I am a science person, and both my parents were civil servants and I expect things to match dimensions listed but with small products like needles its hard to check except in person. I was trying to design my own solution and this needle container is exactly what I always needed and did not know how much I wanted.

I have been sewing for over 40 years. I have tried to keep track of needles in many different ways. Options I have explored are: the flat plastic round dial style dispenser, the paper folder with needles lined up on the black plastic, the round paperweight style magnetic holder that can hold hundreds of pins or needles and the padded fruit or ball that can also hold dozens or hundreds, for comparison. This magnetic needle holder is very simple and basic. It only has 10 needles. They all have the large eye, which is my strong preference. and there are multiple lengths, that are all neatly organized by size. Then the exterior of the case has the contoured area that is also magnetic. When sewing, the needle can be placed here before adding more thread or just stopping for a break. This needle case is compact and thin. The lid is attached and pivots, preventing the lid from being misplaced. The only negative might be that all the needles are in the medium to large size, compared to needles that would come in an assortment of 100 or more. If someone likes sewing with smalls, this case is too deep to store them in a way that is easy to see and to retrieve. I am very pleased with the way this is made. The price at the time of this review is $4.99, I think this is a great value for the convenience and the usability of this case.
