I actually ordered this relay kit because I needed a pair of relays for a vehicle that I am upgrading and it was more cost effective this way. By the time I ordered relays, plugs, wire, fuse holders and connectors it would have cost must more than this kit. The components in the kit are nice quality, the wire is a heavy gauge and all the the terminations are cleanly crimped. This also saves me from having to crimp and install the wires into the plug. I like having a plug in base instead of individual connectors to connect the relays as it will be easier to mount and service in the future. Having installed dual electric radiator fans in the past, this kit has everything you need and will make the job a breeze to complete and even save you some money in the process.

There's nothing wrong with the components in the kit; it's just the wiring has more insulation (versus actual wire) than I'd like. Considering the relays are 40 amps, there's no way the 14 gauge wires that are pre-installed would handle that kind of electrical load. Even the product page states, "If you mount high-profile fans, be sure to crimp or solder bigger wires to it since the 14 AWG wires (15 amps) are not big enough for high amps draw." So, basically plan to dismantle and re-wire the entire harness (using your own blade connectors and bigger fuses) if you're going to use larger fans. Crimping / soldering bigger wires to the 14 ga. wires of the relay harness isn't a solution; it's asking for a disaster or under-hood electrical fire with burned up wires if the pre-installed 20 amp fuse doesn't blow out in time. The thermostat switch is fine and I like how it fits two sizes with the threaded adapter. Overall, the kit is fine if you're using it for a project it can handle. I wouldn't trust it for mission critical applications like racing, but I would say it's fine on a four-wheeler or vehicle with small radiator or A/C fans.
