I ordered this for our two large and and in charge rescue cats. Both have a fair bit of Maine Coon in them, along with the various layers of long, dense fur.Sister cat liked this comb, but then again, she likes most combs. She's not the picky one. For her, the comb could either be used as a basic surface comb, or with a little angle added, to dig in for a deeper combing. Of note...be careful when giving a deep comb. Depending upon the cat, the comb may dig in a little, and cause some tugging of the fur. I was going slowly, and obviously took care not to create discomfort for her, but had I been in a hurry, I may have had an upset puddy tat.Brother cat is the picky one. He's usually afraid of NOTHING, but he is generally standoffish to being combed. I was pleasantly surprised here. Being a cat, of course he wanted to sniff and inspect the comb, so I let this take its course. Then he surprised me. He actually began rubbing the comb against his cheeks and chin, combing himself. I was able to give him a basic surface comb without complaint, though by then, he was ready to eat the comb rather than be combed.It's early, but I'm optimistic that with a little time, he will be more open to being combed using this product. He's already let me to more than he has with other combs I have tried.

I show my long hair cat and needed a new comb for him. I feel that this one is too big for a cat and would be perfect for a long hair or medium haired dog or maybe a long haired cat with mats. However, it is a high quality pet comb and will last a very long time!

I have a bunch of long-haired cats that need regular brushing to keep their fur from getting tangled up! I used to juggle several different grooming tools, but I recently found a fantastic new comb with wide and closely spaced tines. It's been a game-changer and has replaced my old tools! The handle is super comfy to hold, too. Most of my kitties love brushing and combing, so they don't mindn't whole grooming routine. This new comb does the job just as well as the two combs I used before. I'm so happy with it—a winner!.

There are many things I like about this comb, but it arrived damaged. In the photo you can see the tines are misshapen on the end. It’s for this reason, I took off 2 stars. What I like is that the comb feels balanced and sturdy in my hand. I like the double-sided aspect of a wide tooth and then a wider tooth comb for getting through mats without having to switch combs. But I didn’t like that the tines are not as durable as I expected that they could be crushed in shipping.

I have long haired cats who need brushed quite frequently. Often times, I am using two combs and a brush at the same time. I like that this comb has both the wide and closer tines, which means I only need one comb for the job now. The handle is comfortable and feels ergonomic in my hand. The tines feel of similar quality to the other combs we have. Most of my cats like being brushed and combed so they didn't seem to mind it. It seems to do the job just as well as the two that it replaced. Not having to switch combs during the grooming sessions does make it easier for me.

This is a good quality grooming comb, works well. Takes excess hair off your pet easily.It’s built well, easy to use with a nice grip.The only complaint I have would be I think it’s a little pricey for a grooming comb. Other than this it’s great and my pet seems to enjoy me combing him with it.
