I use these for flounder gigging. They fit great and work great. My old shoes had metal parts that always rusted. The zippers on these will never rust and are rugged.

Fit is perfect. I ordered my size. If you have a wide foot then you may think differently. The Velcro Strap does not get tight enough to keep sharp coral sand out. I regret not wearing socks. After 2 hours I was all scraped up and sore for a few days.I had to sit down and clean them out.Socks or thin neoprene socks will make your day better. They are a nice value and a must for flats fishing. These are not designed for slippery rocks. If you are fishing slippery mossy rocks you'll want a felt bottom shoe

These are much better than sneakers - they gripped on rock, general flats, and held up in oyster beds. I like that you can still sense what type of bottom you’re walking on. The Velcro strap isn’t very useful which leads to loose fitting boots. Zipper is fine. My major complaint is that there is no drainage holes anywhere, so when you move back to land you have to figure out a way to hold your leg up so you can drain them. Has anyone figured out a solution to get them to drain? Will prob go for something with drain age next time.

Zippers fail, fabric fails, stickers fail. Just worthless boots.Boots were only gently used and rinsed every time, stored inside and dry, they just suck.

I enjoy that they fit, and are reasonably tough. The zippers stick somewhat though, and I ripped one of the Velcro straps off. I sewed it back on/reinforced the stitching on the other. They keep water out for the most part on the flats, which is nice. Probably will not buy again though
