We had a problem with migrating ducks landing in or pool to nest nearby. We tried water jets, pool filter timing, floating flip flops and pool noodles. None of them kept ducks away. We then literally threw one of these gazing balls in the pool. Ducks hate them. No more ducks! And the ball looks nice day or night as it lazily floats around.

I have always loved reflecting balls and my old (glass) one bit the dust some time ago but I kept the pedestal. I have a glass one in the front garden that seems fairly sturdy but I didn't want to worry about leaving the new one out all year in the ice, snow and wind so I went shopping for a good substitute. This little beauty fits the bill. It is lightweight, very pretty and does a nice job of reflecting the light from the sun. We enjoy looking at it out in the ivy garden in the backyard. Great solution and we will probably never have to replace it.

Looks nice and sturdy. Deer knocked down my glass one so decided to try this, hoping less prone to breaking. Only issue is that there is no way to secure it into a gazing ball pedestal like my older one. Older ones had a projection on bottom that fit and held into stand. This globe has none.

I have several dark corners in my garden and wanted something very bright and that will reflect the low light. This is perfect..... I bought several more that are different sizes. They make those darker corners pop and shine! So lovely!

We purchased this silver gazing ball along with the copper ball gazing ball. If you want a pop of color to add to your garden, this is the real deal. We placed it in between two healthy bushes and it’s the perfect complement. I bought this to toss in my pool to deter the ducks from using my pool as a day spa. So far, so good! It’s larger than I thought it would be and seems very durable. If you’re not into hosting ducks in your family pool, you might want to get some too!! 🦆

I read that it can be left in the swimming pool in order to keep the ducks away. So far so good.

It's very light ,if not protected by a fence or someone when outside it might blow off a stand Despite that I like it .
