Being in a block, the sandpaper is easy to use. Refinishing a dull, sun worn living room window sill in my apt was quick. The landlord did nothing for the sill in 24 years. Took me 20 minutes.

I bought these to sand my door jams before I prime and paint them. They do an excellent job and make it easy to get into tight spots that would be a pain with a sheet of sand paper.

You will not find a better product. I have used various Dura-Gold sanding products over the years and find them to be top quality in both materials and construction with these sanding sponges to be no exception. The grit media outlasts most any other brand I have tried. I started preferring sanding sponges years ago for any hand work as they are firm enough to grip without the need for a block yet soft enough to not gouge my work piece. They can conform to rounded or irregular edges and with the slightly firm sponge can still be utilized for any flat work as well. With these I can also wet sand if I need a finer finish or start having issues with buildup so that alone doubles their usefulness. The 18 piece multi grit pack would be a very handy and reasonable starter pack for anyone to have on hand. I can highly recommend these sponges for nearly any hand work you may have.

I like that these sanding sponges were somewhat more dense than what I am use to using. I found that I could apply more pressure and get more of a result. The 18 pack comes with a great assortment from a very course grit of 36 to a very fine grit of 320. I have never used a grit finer than 120 and I was not certain what to expect. It worked great on the test piece of metal I sanded. The 320 sponge (wet) removed the prior 220 grit (wet) sanding marks and left the metal with a significant polish! Very impressed.

Love these sanding block sponges for many reasons. Here are a few:--Clearly labeled which sponges are which grit level--Easy to hold--Very effective--Long-lasting and don't simply fall apart--Shape allows getting into nooks and cranniesreally pleased with these, and I would definitely order again
