Have always used dance wax to rub shoes in before dancing to help with gliding and any stickiness of some floors; it’s also used for shuffleboard slides. The humorous point is - I didn’t read the entire ad!m - only looked at the picture! I got 1.75 pounds of it!! The jar is 8†tall by almost 4†across!! Not the size you’d carry in your dance shoe bag!!!🤗 I will fill some small containers with it - but this amount should last me for years and years!!

Does this product work itself into the floor surface over time? I have a Harlequin/Marley dance mat at home that’s too sticky. Bought this dance floor “wax,†but it doesn’t seem to be a wax at all. More like corn starch that sits on the surface. Mat is slightly less sticky with this product, but seems like it will move around and potentially collect in random spots that may create a dangerous condition. It makes an annoying gritty, scratchy sound on my mat. I’ll update review if it gets better over time.

I put this dance floor wax into a salt shaker and carry it to various dance venues. Many people ask for a little sprinkle.
